After seeing TV's reply -

Karthick,  was your query about  those problem while using in MS Windows 
or in Ubuntu Linux or any other OS. I ask this
because TV's reply appears to be meant for Windows users.

If it is Ubuntu Linux, for starter, please tell about the following:

1. Which version of Ubuntu (or Kubuntu or Xubuntu)?

2. What  Desktop (DTE) you use - GNOME, KDE, xFce..?

3. Do you use with locale environmental variables set to english (such 
as en_US.UTF-8 ) or tamil (such as ta_IN or ta_LK or...) ?
If you are not sure about this just enter the following command 
"locale"  on a terminal (without the quote symbols of course)
and copy the results and show us.

you must have unicode set and enabled.
and of course you need the unicode tamil fonts.
