I could also offer some - apache's already up and running, so why not. :P
I only have a little bit as of today, so again, small files, although
it's very likely that in a few days I'll be swapping out the hard
drive for something massive, so I could potentially take larger ones
(provided they'll be semi-low-traffic, since I have no idea what my
bandwidth cap is on my home connection).

Hey folks.
CCing mentors, just in case people are on that list, but not this list.

For those on the mentors list who are not on the MOTU list, a thread
with people offering webspace for packages to review has been started.
So far, Jordan Mantha, Steven Harms, Jeremie Corbier, and Scott
Kitterman have made offers.

I would also like to offer webspace. 10MB limit, send me the files, I
will give you an URL, and if you ask nicely, will also review.

I also have a bunch of space, just shoot me an email with the files and I
will send you a link back, no limit on size.

I have some space too. Same process: send me your source package and you'll get
an URL to the .dsc.

Temporary REVU package storage

2007-08-16 Thread Jordan Mantha
Hi all,

It seems like REVU might be down of a little while yet. It also looks
like some people might not have online storage space to put packages
until the server is back up.

I'd like to offer some space for contributors needing it. I don't have
a ton of space and have a monthly bandwidth cap so I can't take huge
packages, but what I can do I'm happy to offer. Let's say less than
10MB should be ok, depending on how many requests I get.

Just email me the source package (.dsc, .diff.gz, and .orig.tar.gz
files) and I'll send you back the URL to get at them.

Anybody else got some space to give? :-)

Does this offer apply to everyone who has a package that is less than
5MB. I to have a package in REVU and have made some changes to it but
are unable to upload to REVU due to it being down.

If the package is small enough (<= 5Mb) and you can live with some delays,
just send it to me, I'll put it to my server then.

Please note, that you might get a faster hosting service by asking around on
#ubuntu-motu though ;)

Cheers,

svk admin: buggy option handling?

2007-08-16 Thread Paolo Giarrusso
Hi,
I'm using Ubuntu 7.04 svk, i.e. 1.08 (package version 1.08-2ubuntu1)

I've tried using svk admin setlog, but it didn't accept -r:

$ svk admin setlog -r 920 ciao
Unknown option: r
Unknown options.

$ svk admin setlog  ciao
svnadmin: Revisione mancante
// Means "svnadmin: Missing revision"

$ svk admin setlog -r920 ciao
Unknown option: r
Unknown option: 9
Unknown option: 2
Unknown option: 0
Unknown options.

I solved the problem by using svnadmimn, and after
reading /usr/share/perl5/SVK/Command.pm
and /usr/share/perl5/SVK/Command/Admin.pm, I've thought that it maybe
happened because Admin.pm has an empty option list, so the general
infrastructure saw that -r is not between the allowed options.

To Chia-liang Kao: is this fixed in later releases? To Debian and Ubuntu
maintainers: could the fix be backported?

Thanks for your attention.

REVU still down - Can't update sdlmame package

2007-08-16 Thread Cesare Falco
Hi all there,

I have updated my package for SDLMame, which still lies in REVU, but I
obviously have no way to upload it as the server is still down.
Is there any way I can get it published for reviewing (i.e. another server
where I can upload it)?
If I can remember well, package freeze for gutsy is scheduled on 25th August
and time is flying...

Thanks in advance!
Cesare.
