Re: xubuntu testcases

2012-09-07 Thread Phill Whiteside
Hi Jackson,

Nicholas has copied it over to paste bin for me. I'll get it formatted up
tomorrow. If you'd like more information on the new style formatting have a
read of https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Testing/TestCaseAdmins/ManagementOverview You
can also post test cases up to that area and they can then be copied over
from the sandbox area to the 'live' area.

Regards,

Phill.

Questions About All 12.04.1 Versions

2012-09-07 Thread Thomas Corwin
Hello,
My name is Thomas Corwin and I am doing a research project on all 6 versions of
Ubuntu including Lubuntu, Xubuntu, Mythbuntu, Ubuntu Studio, and Edubuntu. I
will be running many tests for many different things, the main thing being
performance. I would like to know of there were any issues about 12.04.1 that I
should know about before I begin my tests. I understand this is probably not a
smart place to ask, but I thought of this as a "Quality Assurance" question.
Sorry for the bother.

I noticed this issue too on Quantal, not only with tables but any
libreoffice menu, like if they can be used only once then almost all the
items are disabled. Can you file a bug against libreoffice ?

From a terminal run the command:
$ ubuntu-bug libreoffice

Thanks.

Ubuntu Desktop amd64+mac (This image is adjusted to work properly on
Mac systems)

Post your test results on the Laptop tracker [1] and if you find any
bug with the release, report them on Launchpad and on the tracker as
usual.

You'll require a laptop profile in order to pair results and bugs with
your hardware.
To have it, we highly recommend to first run Checkbox from your
system, then search for the corresponding profile on the Ubuntu
Friendly website [2].

Please let us know if you have any questions, we will coordinate
testing in #ubuntu-testing on freenode.

Thank you very much for your help and happy testing! :-)

xubuntu testcases

2012-09-07 Thread Jackson Doak
I am trying to fix the xubuntu testcases on the iso tracker but because im
not an administrator for the website i will post a draft here for the
admins to look over.
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1gZwZLrdmzNiFzR6ho6oSEEdhwmZ5lsc-YCGz0patXYw/editis
my first one. Also can someone confirm that the xubuntu amd64 daily
build has a login loop(manual logins get stuck in a loop) as i think it
might be my VM

Re: [Lubuntu-wiki-docs] Revision and addition of test cases.

2012-09-07 Thread Ho Wan Chan
Hi folks!

Now then I do recommend people to read some info on how to do it:)

Read https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Testing/TestCaseAdmins/ManagementOverview It
gives you a intro to how to make testcases.

Phill, Nicholas and me (all are the members of Ubuntu Testcase Admins Team)
can surely help you.

Howard Chan (smartboyhw)
