[Ubuntu-sdk-bugs] [Bug 1411130] [NEW] Cannot compile my scope after doing localization work

2015-01-14 Thread XiaoGuo, Liu
Public bug reported:

I have a scope at the following location:

bzr branch lp:~liu-xiao-guo/debiantrial/mailcheckbad

To reproduce the problem:

1) First, import my scope to SDK
2) Run it on desktop, it will generate the .pot file in "po" directory
3) Copy .pot to a Chinese localization file zh_CN.po
4) Run "Run CMake" in SDK
5) the file "po/POTFILES.in" disappears, and ".pot" file is removed as well.

I cannot compile my scope any more. Attached please find the captured
pictures. They can be found at

** Affects: qtcreator-plugin-ubuntu (Ubuntu)

Status in qtubuntu-camera package in Ubuntu:
  Fix Released

Bug description:
  Steps to reproduce:
  1. Flash krillin with latest RTM proposed: ubuntu-device-flash touch
--channel=ubuntu-touch/ubuntu-rtm/14.09-proposed --bootstrap
  2. Install packages from RTM Silo 0:
     a. Add PPA 0 to /etc/apt/sources.list: deb
http://ppa.launchpad.net/ci-train-ppa-service/landing-000/ubuntu-rtm 14.09 main
 b. sudo apt-get update
     c. sudo apt-get install cameraplugin-aal libandroid-properties1 libhybris
libhybris-common1 libhybris-test libhybris-utils libmedia1 libhardware2
  3. Unplug USB cable
  4. Reboot
  5. Launch camera and take a dozen pictures of sufficient complexity, ie. not
of a blank wall but of a detailed landscape for example that will yield fairly
big image files

  Current result:
Some pictures are corrupt and cannot be opened.

  Expected result:
  All pictures can be opened.

  1. Go to System Settings > "Wi-Fi".
  2. If Wi-Fi is off, turn it on.
  3. Scroll to the bottom of the list and choose "Connect to hidden network".

What you see: A dialog where the left padding (x1) is less than the
right padding (x2), and the top padding (y1) is less than the bottom
  padding (y2).

What you should see: A dialog where the left and right padding are
equal (x1 = x2), and the top and bottom padding are equal (y1 = y2).

I don't know whether this is a System Settings bug, a toolkit bug, or
  a combination.

[Ubuntu-sdk-bugs] [Bug 1409778] Re: autopilot and autopilot sdk helper documentation needs API website integration

2015-01-14 Thread Nicholas Skaggs
** Branch linked: lp:~nskaggs/ubuntu-ui-toolkit/aphelperdocs-staging

** Also affects: ubuntu-ui-toolkit (Ubuntu)
   Importance: Undecided
   Status: New

** Description changed:

autopilot and autopilot sdk helper documentation currently lives as
static html pages on the site here:

  https://developer.ubuntu.com/api/devel/ubuntu-14.10/python/

As such, the docs are hard to find, hard to update and aren't included
when searching, etc. They should be integrated into the site in the same
  way as other API docs.
+
+ The API docs website can import json, so the sphinx builds for AP docs
+ should be updated to include a json output.

Manifest file with invalid syntax reported as missing

Status in qtcreator-plugin-ubuntu package in Ubuntu:
  Fix Released

Bug description:
Why trying to build a click package in the SDK, if the manifest.json
file exists in the target directory, but has invalid syntax such as a
missing ending brace, it is reported as missing, rather than having a
syntax error. This leads one to look for some reason why the SDK would
think the file is missing despite it being in the directory, such as
permissions or other issues that might arise from installation rules
in the build system, rather than looking at the contents of the file
itself to see they are wrong.

A missing file, and syntax errors in the file, should be reported
differently, as they are very different and distinct problems.

As I understand it this has no relevance for RTM because it only affects

so I removed the MR for it. Should it be needed afterall, the branch is
still there… I'm just trying to cut down on sitting reviews.
