This is a bug in u-boot which also affects libvirt. @xypron was working
on it but apparently move on to something else. Just a heads up since
it shows in our triage due to the libvirt task.

This is still affecting bind9 in Jammy. Upstream hasn't fixed all the
bugs yet. This is one of the bugs that prompted me to suggest bind9 for
the next round of MREs, so we should keep an eye and make sure that
upstream is on top of the issues.

Reporter replied and, based on the scenario he described, it will not be
possible for us to reproduce the issue. I left a comment asking them if
they'd be willing to perform the test and validation themselves; if yes,
then I will start by providing a PPA with the proposed patch.

Apparently there's an upstream fix for this one, but it seems that it's
non-trivial to backport. The only remaining task we have is for Bionic.
