[Bug 1561849] [NEW] HTML entities interpreted incorrectly
Public bug reported: Recently, I've found that if a link contains something like an HTML entity but without semicolon after it, it's interpreted as a valid HTML entity and substituted with the corresponding symbol even in links. This breaks some sites. Steps to reproduce: • Launch elinks and navigate to https://m.vk.com/ . Make sure that POST requests are sent with confirmation to see the URL they sent to. That is set by default. • Enter whatever you want into “email” and “pass” fields. • Hit Log in button at the page. The POST form there has action URL that looks like https://login.vk.com/?act=login&_origin=https://m.vk.com_h=…_h=…=pda=1 What actually happens: • Despite that “” has no semicolon at the end, it's being interpreted as ‘≶’ sign, and you'll see that in the POST request confirmation. This sign is only in the Unicode, so it's displayed as several other signs in different code pages. Anyway, this breaks the form. Checked with different terminals. What is expected to happen: • The sequence “” is left as it is. System Information: • Ubuntu 14.04 LTS 64bit • elinks 0.12~pre6-4ubuntu1 (the newest by now) ** Affects: elinks (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to elinks in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1561849 Title: HTML entities interpreted incorrectly To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/elinks/+bug/1561849/+subscriptions -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs

[Bug 1522422] Re: Update to php 7.0
@bhat3, @colan, Thank you very much for the feedback. I just submitted a debdiff in Bug # 1544352 for drupal7 as it is in 16.04 to change the deps to PHP7. It does work, in that I can setup a very basic instance and it ... runs :) But I don't really have the bandwidth to test it further. While I understand that upstream (drupal.org) may not mention these packages, the goal is obviously for a distribution to provide a self-sufficient instance. Would either of you be able to help test that version once it lands and indicate which if any of the upstream patches are relevant? Feel free to contact me offlist if need be. [Bug 1547133] Re: After automatically upgrading Xubuntu library libnss3 to version 2:3.21-0ubuntu0.15.10.1 some apps stop working
This is a bug in QtWebEngine. The file src/3rdparty/chromium/net/third_party/nss/patches/chacha20poly1305.patch contains the following: +/* This is a bodge to allow this code to be compiled against older NSS + * headers. */ +#ifndef CKM_NSS_CHACHA20_POLY1305 +#define CKM_NSS_CHACHA20_POLY1305 (CKM_NSS + 26) Unfortunately, CKM_NSS + 26 got used for something else in nss 3.21: #define CKM_NSS_TLS_EXTENDED_MASTER_KEY_DERIVE_DH (CKM_NSS + 26) In nss 3.23, we now have: #define CKM_NSS_CHACHA20_POLY1305 (CKM_NSS + 28) This means QtWebEngine isn't using the right value. To fix this, QtWebEngine needs to be patched to use the proper value of CKM_NSS + 28 in the following files: src/3rdparty/chromium/net/socket/ssl_client_socket_nss.cc src/3rdparty/chromium/net/third_party/nss/patches/chacha20poly1305.patch src/3rdparty/chromium/net/third_party/nss/ssl/ssl3con.c src/3rdparty/chromium/third_party/nss/patches/nss-chacha20-poly1305.patch src/3rdparty/chromium/third_party/nss/nss/lib/util/pkcs11n.h Once that is done and QtWebEngine is rebuilt, I believe it will be compatible with nss 3.21 and 3.23. I am closing this bug since the product using QtWebEngine is not in Ubuntu and there is no further action to be done. ** Changed in: nss (Ubuntu) Status: New => Invalid -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to nss in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1547133 Title: After automatically upgrading Xubuntu library libnss3 to version 2:3.21-0ubuntu0.15.10.1 some apps stop working To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nss/+bug/1547133/+subscriptions -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs

[Bug 1558336] Re: [needs-packaging] juju-mongo-tools3.2 in xenial, wily, and trusty
I reviewed ~sinzui/ubuntu/xenial/juju-mongo-tools3.2/xenial-mongo-tools3.2 revno 19 for upload. Summary: looks good, one thing to fix in debian/rules, then I can make the other changes and am happy to upload. Good job sending the syscall patch upstream. I appreciate the dep3 header telling me the status. In override_dh_clean, rm -rf /tmp/go-build* will interfere with other concurrent builds. We shouldn't stomp on the system like this. I'm not sure the build should leave anything in /tmp at all. Maybe use TMPDIR to make it use somewhere else, then clean that? Is there a standard pattern for this that we can use? Other notes (I can fix up): No need for override_dh_strip any more (golang-go produced binaries can now be stripped according to bug 1318027). When fixed, can remove lintian overrides. Maybe best to leave for now as we're short on time, but can leave a bug open to do later. No need for override_dh_builddeb since xz is default on Xenial, or are you leaving this for backporting ease? If so, then do we know xz will work as far back as you want to backport? debian/copyright looks superficially OK to me, and I'm happy that Curtis can maintain these accurately. Leaving it for the AA to review once. Same with debian/missing-sources. Good job on identifying that this was required and taking care of it. Embedded dependencies: I see 10 bundled dependencies, and four -dev packages which presumably override them (cannot check due to lack of build, see below). Are the others acceptable to AAs to bundle? Changelog should close LP bug. Changelog arch reference is presumably superseded now as we're bulding Arch: any? I'm not sure where to get the orig tarball and there is no debian/watch file. Cannot (easily) check lintian without orig tarball. Cannot (easily) build test without orig tarball. So I basically just reviewed the debian/ directory by looking at it only. It is nice and small and easy to review - thanks. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to juju-mongodb in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1558336 Title: [needs-packaging] juju-mongo-tools3.2 in xenial, wily, and trusty To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/juju-mongodb/+bug/1558336/+subscriptions -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs

The reported port binding issue has been initially found from Watson research team while creating more number of containers. We later investigated and seen its an issue with port binding. I'm still trying to investigate more on this by starting and stopping daemon and checking, does that make any difference. == Comment: #6 - Gowrishankar Muthukrishnan- 2016-03-15 08:21:56 == Ok. I spent sometime playing with docker daemon today and at last found real cause for this. You could solve this by running: echo `pidof docker` > /sys/fs/cgroup/pids/cgroup.procs Details as below. First, the error as seen in docker run would mislead unless the details are not read in journalctl. I turned on debug mode for daemon and checked verbose logs through journalctl -p docker.service. [Bug 1557852] Re: [needs-packaging] juju-mongodb3.2 in xenial, wily, and trusty
Thank you for the update. I've reviewed the patches now they have headers so I can follow what's going on. Most look OK. I'm unhappy with two: 1. arm64-immediate-delete-should-wait-cursor.patch IMHO inappropriately disables a test that correctly tests positive. This should be fixed properly, or allowed to FTBFS on arm64, or arm64 builds need to be disabled. Happy to follow Ubuntu archive admin or release team guidance. 2. offset-outside-of-bounds.patch: tests disabled due to GCC-5. As noted this should be fixed properly and upstreamed. Perhaps this should be combined into disable-warnings.patch? Not sure if this is OK to upload or not. Happy to follow Ubuntu archive admin or release team guidance. The changelog needs updating to match changes made based on 2.6 - I don’t think it’s accurate any more. Ideally it would include changes not uploaded to the archive, so perhaps rebase on 2.6 and squash into previous PPA entry? rbasak is happy to do this before upload when the other items are resolved (so he doesn’t have to keep changing the description of what changed as we change things). I've not tested build since resolving above items may influence outcome. [Bug 216847] Re: sshd will not start at boot if ListenAddress is set, because network interface is not yet up
Since so many things changed since this - admittedly embarrassing old - bug was reported I thought I retest it before the next LTS comes out. I looked at the Xenial content and found stuff like: Not only is it specified "After network.target", but on top there is /etc/network/if-up.d/openssh-server which is intended to restart openssh if later an iface comes up, there it would be able to rebind that IP. I tested on containers first and it worked right away, setting ListenAddress and restarting. But well in containers devices might be "up" at a different timing, but even in a KVM Guest, setting ListenAddress again it works just fine. Mar 24 14:54:43 testxenial-ssh sshd[1293]: Server listening on 192.168.122.131 port 22. I wondered and wanted to make sure that the test is valid, so I spawned trusty (LTS), vivid (last reported issue) and wily But - for me - it was working on all of them - even with several retries it was not even racy. Therefore I wanted to ask for a retest - at least with Xenial if possible. Also any detail about the test environment that was used would be great - especially by the last confirmation in vivid. [Bug 1512603] Re: nut-monitor systemd service is absent in nut-client package since Ubuntu vivid
Hi, in Xenial 2.7.2-4ubuntu1 got merged. The issue that our delta solved by dropping of the systemd service, seems solved in Debian >=2.7.2 The Debian Changelog part in 2.7.2-2 is: * Add wrappers that check the MODE in /etc/nut/nut.conf to avoid starting the daemons if nut is not configured (Closes: #747863). Yet the merge kept our related delta: - Disable systemd unit; it does not check nut.conf whether nut is configured, and thus fails to start (and the package install). The init.d script works well enough for the time being. Andrew (computershik-ya) wrote on 2015-11-05: [...] The init.d script was a broken symlink to nut-client [...] At least that seems solved as it installs correctly a init.d script that systemd uses as fallback. file /etc/init.d/nut-client /etc/init.d/nut-client: POSIX shell script, ASCII text executable lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 10 Jan 27 09:36 /etc/init.d/ups-monitor -> nut-client* Debian has both systemd services again, but it might be too late before release to do that change in case it is working as-is again. See: https://packages.debian.org/sid/amd64/nut-client/filelist I had issues getting a proper Test done in my Xenial container. But given the package merge and the proper link that is existing now I'd highly encourage the reporters who likely have a working UPS setup to test this with Xenial. If you could share some of your setup to test it and the issues that appear that will also help to consider and work on dropping the delta regarding the systemd services. Especially since it is late in the cycle. [Bug 1561007] Re: Upstream Bug #3769: client_netmask not evaluated since Comm redesign
> I took the patch from the upstream 3.3 branch rather than your patches -- although I think the net effect is the same. You mean there was a patch in upstream 3.3 that applies cleanly? That's much better than my hacked together fix. I will install squid from your PPA and test it. ** Description changed: [Impact] http://www.squid-cache.org/mail-archive/squid-users/201403/0065.html: > This bug caused the client_netmask directive in Squid-3.2 and Squid-3.3 releases to have no effect. The designed behaviour of masking client IPs in logs is now restored. Upstream issue tracker: http://bugs.squid-cache.org/show_bug.cgi?id=3769 In all versions of squid3 between 3.2 and 3.4.4 a pretty severe bug exists that disables the scrubbing of client IPs. Scrubbing of client IPs is extremely important for any privacy-aware and risk-aware provider. [Test Case] - TBD + + 1. Install squid3: apt-get install squid3 + 2. Observe that only the first two octets of client IP are logged now. [Regression Potential] - TBD + + The fix is minimally invasive and adds only an interaction with the + IP::Address class that was not present.
