[Bug 1011603] Re: LXC-unshare network namespace segfaulting
Hello Ahmed, or anyone else affected, Accepted lxc into precise-proposed. The package will build now and be available in a few hours. Please help us by testing this new package. See https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Testing/EnableProposed for documentation how to enable and use -proposed. Your feedback will aid us getting this update out to other Ubuntu users. If this package fixes the bug for you please change the bug tag from verification-needed to verification-done. If it does not, change the tag to verification-failed. In either case details of your testing will help us make a better decision. Further information regarding the verification process can be found at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/QATeam/PerformingSRUVerification . Thank you in advance! ** Changed in: lxc (Ubuntu Precise) Status: New => Fix Committed ** Tags added: verification-needed -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to lxc in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1011603 Title: LXC-unshare network namespace segfaulting To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/lxc/+bug/1011603/+subscriptions -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs

[Bug 1011603] Re: LXC-unshare network namespace segfaulting
Thanks for reporting this bug. The problem is (I believe) that lxc-unshare isn't properly handling the case where no arguments are specified. As a workaround, do lxc-unshare -s NETWORK /bin/bash and you'll get a root prompt in the new namespace. ** Changed in: lxc (Ubuntu) Status: New => Confirmed ** Changed in: lxc (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided => High ** Changed in: lxc (Ubuntu) Importance: High => Medium ** Tags added: bitesize ** Changed in: lxc (Ubuntu) Status: Confirmed => Triaged -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to lxc in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1011603 Title: LXC-unshare network namespace segfaulting To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/lxc/+bug/1011603/+subscriptions -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs
