Re: Delta 1010lt and Ubuntu Studio 10.10
Open the file '/etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf' with gedit or nano: 'sudo gedit /etc/modprobe.d/alsabase.conf' see if the line: 'options snd-ice1712 model=delta1010lt' Is present in the file. If not, write this line in the file. Restart and see if it works. - Mail Original - De: ailo ailo...@gmail.com À: ubuntu-studio-users@lists.ubuntu.com Envoyé: Mercredi 17 Novembre 2010 22h12:57 GMT +01:00 Amsterdam / Berlin / Berne / Rome / Stockholm / Vienne Objet: Re: Delta 1010lt and Ubuntu Studio 10.10 On 11/17/2010 10:03 PM, dave wrote: On -10/01/37 20:59, Hartmut Noack wrote: Am 14.11.2010 22:50, schrieb dave: I'm having major problems trying to get my Delta 1010lt card working with Ubuntu Studio. I have a fresh install of 10.10 and everything else is working apart from the 1010lt. It is recognised in Pulseaudio but other than that it doesn't do anything. Nothing happens in Envy24 when I put sound into the card. Any suggestions please? Have you tried running the card with Jack? Pulseaudio is known to be unable to set usable mixer-settings to envy24-cards. Once the card runs with jack+alsa, the situation should improve. Thanks for your reply. I've tried running it with Jack but it still doesn't seem to work. No bars move in envy24control and nothing recorded in ardour. I must be doing something very wrong. Any thoughts? I assume that you have set up jack correctly and it starts ok with m-audio. In that case you most likely have not raised the volumes for inputs and outputs in the envy24 mixer. You will find them in one of the last tabs in the envy24 mixer window. Named dac0, dac1.. for outputs (or something similar), and adc0, adc1.. for inputs. -- Ubuntu-Studio-users mailing list Ubuntu-Studio-users@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-studio-users -- Ubuntu-Studio-users mailing list Ubuntu-Studio-users@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-studio-users

Re: beginners with rezound
If you read french you can look to this fabulous site: http://www.linuxmao.org/tikiwiki/tiki-view_articles.php and particulary this : http://www.linuxmao.org/tikiwiki/tiki-index.php?page=Rezoundhighlight=rezound bye Selon laurent.bellegarde [EMAIL PROTECTED]: Hi everyone, I'm on holiday in France, and i'm discovering rezound. i'm running under Ubuntu Studio 7.10, with linux-rt enable. i've got 2 sound card, and the pci one is connected to my speakers. I'm using alsa by default. Rezound was not installed by default, is it normal ? with synaptic, i've installed it, at the first launch, while firefox was opened with jiwa website working, it was impossible to read an audio track in rezound with this error. void CSoundPlayerChannel::play(sample_pos_t,CSoundPlayerChannel::LoopTypes,bool -- the sound player is not initialized by starting rezound in terminal, i've discovered rezound is using OSS by default, so the sound card can't work with an another program. Is there a file, where it's possible to configure rezound to use ALSA or jack, if this one is running ? Re: audacity and jack
with jack the best to do is to install Rezound and run it. Rezound make wave form like audacity and there is more addin. Best wishes. Selon Jesus Arocho [EMAIL PROTECTED]: Hello. I have a system running kubuntustudio amd64. Ardour and jack work fine, as well as hydrogen. I cannot seem to get audacity to work with jack. If jack is running, audacity fails to even load. audacity will load if jack is stopped; I can then start jack but cannot find any connections in either jack or audacity regarding each other. -- Ubuntu-Studio-users mailing list Ubuntu-Studio-users@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-studio-users -- Ubuntu-Studio-users mailing list Ubuntu-Studio-users@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-studio-users
