Re: »Cancel« untranslated in login dialog (German)?

When logging in to Ubuntu, the login dialog has two buttons, the LEFT one (»Cancel«) appears to be untranslated (at least in German) though it was already translated a long time ago. Can I assume this will be fixed automagically? Well … where should I look for that string? Is this really a »new« string or just another bug that does only affect the German translation? Could you please file a bug against the transmission source package in Ubuntu, so that developers can track it? https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/transmission/+filebug If in addition you could also use the Also affects project link you'll see once you've filed the bug, and add the ubuntu-translations project there, that'd be awesome, as we'd then be able to track it as a translations bug. New strings in Unity
Hi translators, Just a heads up that a few (6) new strings have been made translatable in Unity, and are already available in Launchpad: https://translations.launchpad.net/ubuntu/natty/+source/unity/+pots/unity Thanks for your understanding. I realise this is short notice, but I think marking strings as translatable is always a benefit for our users. Re: Help with indicator-datetime translation bug
Hi David! Hi all translators! Maybe I can shed some light into this matter. Please see the excerpt from my comment #10 to bug 729631 [0]: »… By the way, I think I have figured out, *how* these date and time strings [1] [2] are meant to be used. The date/time displayed in the panel is a combination of two parts, the date part and the time part. These parts are put together by a special string like this: %s %s (see string number 19 [3]). Because Germans like the date and time to be separated by a comma, we put the comma in this string number 19, which - as it turns out - was good! But sadly we made some appending commas to the strings that are relevant for the date part, too. So that causes two commas to be displayed there, now. However that is a translation bug, that I'm going to fix now. …« Relevant strings (change the URLs to your language code): [1] [2] [3] [4]. String not marked for translation in Software Center has been fixed
Hello again translations team! Thanks to Hendrik Knackstedt and Florian Greinus we have become aware of a string in Software Center that was mistakenly not marked for translation. This is a very prominent string that is displayed in the UI whenever a software item is installed or removed, and so this was a great catch indeed and an important one for us to fix. Here is a link to the bug report from Florian: https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/759240 The string is In Progress..., and as I mentioned, this is displayed whenever a transaction is in progress in Software Center. For your reference, here is a screenshot from Florian showing the string in action in the UI: https://launchpadlibrarian.net/69171988/inprogressbug.png Once again, my apologies for this late change! And many thanks to Hendrik and Florian for finding this.
