Re: New remote scopes translations

2014-05-27 Thread Yaron Shahrabani
Hi David!

Is there a way to get updates whenever the translation is changed or the
template is updated?
I feel like I'm missing on so many projects in Launchpad.
Do you want me to file a blueprint, and if so, where would you recommend me
to open it?

Kind regards,

Yaron Shahrabani

Hi, it looks great but the update interval is too long, is 12 hours too

 Hi Yaron,

Sorry for the delay in replying, I just came back from a sprint. The site
could update more frequently, yes, but the limitation is in the Launchpad
translations exports: once a day all projects across LP get their
translations committed to the source code, so the stats site can only
 update once a day too.

I've translated everything besides the %1E in the calendar app, I've
opened a bug about it, can you please see what's going on there?

I'm not sure what you're referring to. Could you point me to the bug and
we'll see if it's something we can fix in Calendar?

Btw, nice work with the Hebrew translations, you guys are now the 4th
language on the list in terms of coverage!

 Thanks!

 Cheers,

 Hi translators,

Just a heads up that new strings are available for translation for
 remote scopes:

 https://translations.launchpad.net/ubuntu-rest-scopes/trunk

Remember that the list of translatable projects for the phone is here

 http://projects.davidplanella.org/stats/utopic

Congrats to all teams who have made it to the front page (over 70%
translation), in particular to the Ukranian and Russian teams, who have
been rocking it in the last few days to made it effectively to 100%.

The stats are updated around 10:00 UTC, so on the next update the newly
added remote scopes strings will appear there.

 Cheers,
 David.

Re: Maliit and Ubuntu Phone/Touch

2014-05-27 Thread Michael Bauer

FYI, this is the answer from the phone team:

We are using maliit, the relevant project is now called
ubuntu-keyboard since as you observed upstream somewhat abandoned the
project..

Please create a bug there and the engineer can integrate the languages.

Pat

Hi Michael,

I'm not very familiar with Maliit, but you might want to ask the
experts on the ubuntu-phone mailing list.

David.

Hiya

Having just brought the Phone/Touch strings up to date, I had a
snoop around to check out progress of the project overall and came
across a mention of Maliit being the input 'app' for these
devices. Since we already have the data for Gaelic/Irish/Manx, I
thought it might be a good idea to get them committed sooner
rather than later but first the Maliit site brings up a security
warning in Firefox and the site looks rather dead (no activity
dated 2014).

Is Maliit still the default IM or is there a different
module/project handling this aspect now that I should be talking to?

Cheers,

Michael
