Re: Ubuntu Touch Web Browser and Calendar open for translations
Hi, Vietnamese done (VN-vi) ! Regards 2013/5/17 David Planella david.plane...@ubuntu.com Hi translators, Continuing with the trend of opening translations for the Ubuntu Touch core apps, here's two more :) Translate Calendar: https://translations.launchpad.net/ubuntu-calendar-app Translate Web Browser: https://translations.launchpad.net/webbrowser-app # Testing To install Calendar: sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ubuntu-touch-coreapps-drivers/daily sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get install ubuntu-calendar-app To install Web Browser: You should probably not do it on a desktop machine (*) To report any issues: - Calendar: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu-calendar-app - Web Browser: https://bugs.launchpad.net/webbrowser-app Happy translating! Cheers, David. (*) This PPA is not safe for a desktop setup, so one should deactivate it after installing the app, otherwise it might badly break Unity. Re: Localizing Ubuntu Documentation images
Hi, Le 19 janvier 2012 17:59, David Planella david.plane...@ubuntu.com a écrit : We were wondering how to make it easier for everyone to be able to provide images in their language, other than starting to submit branch proposals to the Ubuntu docs bzr branch (not everyone is familiar with bzr). One idea that came up was to set up an Ubuntu One share with the content of the upstream branch's ubuntu-help folder, i.e: ... If you all think it could be a good idea, I'd be happy to set up the share and organize all the rest. Let me know what you think. Yes I think this is a great idea ! I'm ready to do it for the Vietnamese language ! best regards -- Vu Do Quynh (M.) Hi, Le 19 janvier 2012 19:43, David Planella david.plane...@ubuntu.com a écrit : Excellent. Just to see if the idea works, I've added you guys to the share, so that you can modify it. You should have received an e-mail and your Ubuntu One folder should contain the share once sync'ed. I'm using Ubuntu One account directly on the web as for some unknown reasons, my Ubuntu One account does not show on my lucid desktop (have nbot tried yet with my Oneiric netbook). I connected there and didn't saw any share appearing. Maybe did I missed something as I'm only seldom using my Ubuntu One account. regards -- Vu Do Quynh (M.) Re: When to open translations of Lucid
2010/1/5 David Planella david.plane...@ubuntu.com Hi, Has anyone got any comments to Aron's proposal? Would everyone be ok with opening Lucid translations at Alpha-3 as discussed at UDS, or would you rather have them open earlier? Thanks. Regards, David. I agree that opening Lucid Lynx translations in early February (preferably on 4th February rather than 11th - the 15th Feb would be the Lunar New year in Asia, so we won't expect much work from the period 15th to nearly the end of February) would certainly give us (in Vietnam) more time to do the translation work. Where can I find the F1.txt to translate ?
Hi, I have just tested the Karmic beta release. After burning the iso file and booting the live CD, I started to change the language (F2) to Vietnamese. The live CD menu appears 100% in Vietnamese and that's cool ! However, pressing F1 (Help) still shows up the content in full English. Where can we find the f1.txt file template to translate it to Vietnamese? I think it has already been translated for Jaunty, but still in karmix it remains in English. Thanks for any hint. -- Vu Do Quynh (M.) Hanoi, Vietnam -- ubuntu-translators mailing list ubuntu-translators@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-translators

Hi, 2009/10/7 Gabor Kelemen kelem...@gnome.hu Quynh Vu Do írta: Where can we find the f1.txt file template to translate it to Vietnamese? I think it has already been translated for Jaunty, but still in karmix it remains in English. Thanks for any hint. This is here: https://translations.launchpad.net/ubuntu/karmic/+source/debian-installer/+pots/debian-installer-help Thanks for the info. After checking, it appears almost fully translated to Vietnamese. Is it truely specific to Ubuntu Maybe we need to translate this package in Debian and not in launchpad ? That would be one reason why it still appears not translated on the live CD ? or is it simply because there is not enough room on the live CD to accommodate for all the f1.txt language files ? Any further ideas and confirmation that this package has to be translated in Launchpad and not in Debian ? If it's in Debian, does anyone knows where to get it ? Thanks in advance -- Vu Do Quynh (M.)
