Re: Testing translation Ubuntu-docs (Lucid)

2010-07-22 Thread Steffen Eibicht
Hi Guys,

I found an error in the new language pack: the window for the printer
settings (System --> Administration --> printing) shows a wrong title.

I already searched in Launchpad for this package, but I can not find it
(I am a bit useless in using Launchpad, which doesn't help either...).

can you please point me to the translations site of this package?

would be great!

I will then take care of the translation

thanks & regards
Steffen

Test new language pack-de version 1:9.04+20091012

2009-10-22 Thread Steffen Eibicht
Hi,

I have finished the testing at the new language-pack-de version 1:9.04
+20091012, which was uploaded into the ppa at 13th of october.

The test was done in Ubuntu Jaunty.

I found that 8 bugs are fixed, but still there are 31 bugs (which I
found in the old languagepack - so there might be more) in there.
These not-yet-fixed-bugs are mainly in the Helpcenter, so I propose that
we will check the help stuff again to get rid of them.

However, as the mentioned 8 bugfixes are directly visible to the user I
would recommend to release it as an update for Jaunty.

thanks

best regards
Steffen

Re: Preview for ubiquity-ubuntu-slideshow

2009-10-21 Thread Steffen Eibicht
Hi,

I have done some corrections to the german translation but we are not
really sure about the Ubuntu One Headliner.

Will there be a new preview available before final release?

regards
Steffen

Introduction

2009-10-19 Thread Steffen Eibicht
Hello,

after I have subscribed to this mailing list I want to introduce myself:

Name: Steffen Eibicht (Launchpad Account is the same)
Age: 33
Job: automotive engineer
Ubuntu user: since 2008

I am member of the german translators Team. Yesterday I got a new role:
I will test the updated german language packs. This will be done at
first in Jaunty and after its final release I will also do this for
Karmic.
I will post the results, including a list of the mistakes and a
recommendation if the language-pack should be used or not, on this
mailing list then.

Today I will start with the work on the language-pack for Jaunty which
was uploaded into the ppa

https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-langpack/+archive/ppa/

at 13th of october.

So, I am looking forward to have some fun while doing some work for the
best operating system available ;-)
If you have any suggestions or any addition/ correction to the testing
work I have described, please feel free to point me on them.

Thanks!

best regards
Steffen
