Hi, I am not sure what you mean by the back button. I use F5 (refresh) and I never lose any translations, but having to use F5 frequently is rather annoying. Hi Simos, It happens to me quite frequently, especially if I am on a busy network. That reminds me, I once got rid of this problem almost completely by disabling my browser's HTTPS Everywhere for Launchpad.net. Even though the pages were still sent to me in HTTPS, the timeouts went away. When I turned the extension back on, the timeouts returned. Not sure if I can reproduce this now, but I will try it again the next time I get a timeout spree. For what it is worth, when I am at home, this almost never happens, no matter if HTTPS Everywhere is enabled or not. I am quite surprised that there are no (easily searchable, at least) bug reports for this. Anybody seen one? According to the patch on that bug report, the source of the problem has been the loading of suggestions when you view the next set of messages to translate. That is, the current translations are most likely sent successfully, but the new set of ten messages fail to load on time. The patch (preload those suggestions so that they are not computed all the time) has not been applied yet, so it is an issue of getting that done. http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~launchpad-pqm/launchpad/stable/revision/17086 If launchpad.net has been working for translations, then most probably there was minimal server load, or the specific language had too few suggestions to compute. Thus, if you get the Timeout message, simply hit Refresh/Reload in order to get the next set of messages. It does not help to hit back, as the translations most likely made it through. I hope the patch gets added to launchpad.net soon. Hi all, Thanks everyone for the heads up. Launchpad Engineers are very aware of this issue, and I apologise for the disruptions it makes in translating. I adds even more credit to the work that you guys are doing that you've managed to translate the phone and the desktop even with the frequent timeouts.
