Bionic and trunk are both fine - they are synced. Vivid is EOL since long.

Please note that Ubuntu Desktop Guide consists to > 90% of GNOME Help
nowadays, so the number of translatable strings in the ubuntu-docs
package has been significantly reduced. I tried to explain that here:

Also, it's a bit early to pay attention to the ubuntu-docs translations
in bionic. Changes will be made.

Translation Ubuntu Docs

That's correct.

If the docs team would like to release an update with new translations,
I'd be happy to release a new language pack update shortly after.

I would quite like to release a proper update of ubuntu-docs in Lucid.
That would mean putting into place the discussion which we had a few
months ago about updating strings in Launchpad, allowing a period for
translators to complete the new strings and then produce a new update.

For the docteam - are there any other important fixes which could be
applied to the Lucid branch and which are important enough to fix in
Lucid? If so, let's identify these and get them fixed asap so that we
can pass the baton over to the translators to translate the new
material.

It's both - translations are included in the ubuntu-docs source
package and then stripped out of the binary package during the build
process in Launchpad. They are then added to the next relevant
language pack when it is released afterwards.

Or, put another way: I think documentation translation updates don't
come with regular Ubuntu language pack updates. A new package containing
translations needs to be rebuilt.

2010-07-22 Thread Steffen Eibicht
Hi Guys,

I found an error in the new language pack: the window for the printer
settings (System -- Administration -- printing) shows a wrong title.

I already searched in Launchpad for this package, but I can not find it
(I am a bit useless in using Launchpad, which doesn't help either...).

can you please point me to the translations site of this package?

would be great!

I will then take care of the translation

thanks regards
Steffen
