That's pretty cool. I've been using Ubuntu to persuade businesses to
ditch Microsoft and this will definately help because business oriented
collaboration is one area that Microsoft has got covered to a tee. I
also like IBM because of their Linux support, my Thinkpad is fully
supported out of the box with Ubuntu.

The worst thing is, the disclaimer is about 3x as long as any useful
content in the message. Is there / should there be a list policy of not
allowing messages with the 10 lines of "IF YOU READ THIS YOU WILL DIE"
attached to the end?

I wouldn't worry about it! Most e-mail disclaimers are completely
pointless and wouldn't stand up in a court of law.

The above says the contents should not be disclosed to any person who is
not a named recipient. But you are not a named recipient and you've seen
the content, so it's rather late reading the disclaimer!

I'm Sorry, but I don't understand the question.
Ar you asking how to export from Kino? If so I suggest having a read
of the documentation at http://www.kinodv.org/docbook/

You could try specifically looking at the export section, if you feel

[ubuntu-uk] Devizes Ubuntu Users was Ubuntu Demo Day, Swindon

2008-01-27 Thread Adrians Desktop
Great news Diane,

Although not very active in groups and not technically able at all, I
promote Ubuntu to anyone with an ear! I will see if I can come along,
and I hope you are not too swamped at the event as it could become BIG.
Already with the adding to UWN etc.

As for locals to Swindon, I live in Devizes (about 20 miles away) I
tried to get on with the Wiltshire LUG and found that they tend to hang
around IRC and any events were in Swindon. I am an enthusiast, but I
cannot maintain a long IRC presence due to my lifestyle. the mailing
list does not have anyone mailing on it. I am sure there has been much
comment on the variety and differences of the UK LUGs, but Wiltshire is
a large county with its populace fairly evenly spread over its area.

I would love to hear if there are any Devizes Ubuntu users as a search
on Google gave some, but you never know whether people move on from the
OS and I don´t often knock on the door of strangers (OK I´m shy!). I am
not suggesting at the moment setting up a Devizes Ubuntu LUG but it
would be nice to know if there were others more local. I would consider
setting up a mailing list if the numbers were that strong.

If anyone is in the town or surrounding area, as we are rural, it would
be nice not to feel so ´on my own´.

Adrian
