Re: [ubuntu-uk] Samsung SCX-3205 printer re Tony.P

2011-09-09 Thread Michael Daniels

The driver brought up is for the wireless version, mine is not. I tried the
Samsung Agent Chat, they say there is an August 2011 driver, maybe I am not
looking hard enough. So as of 1235, Friday, unresolved. Thanks.

Have you followed the instructions here:

http://www.samsung.com/us/support/downloads/SCX-3205W/XAA

especially:

$ sudo ln -s /usr/share/cups/model/samsung /usr/share/ppd/custom/samsung

BTW, I'm no Samsung printer expert. Just trying to be helpful as no-one else
has replied to you.

Hi all,

The first meeting is on the 22nd September, that is three weeks from
now, at the Cask in Pimlico turn up any time from 7ish.

You can optionally put your name down here so we have an idea of
numbers (the pub tweeted that they would set some tables aside for us)

What made you choose the Black Lion at Consall Forge? It's a nice pub
but accessibility isn't one of it's best factors(I live just the
other side of the valley from there...)

Is there going to be a meet in/around the Stoke area?

I've come in a bit late with this. Can you tell us what are the names
of the files in the download you have unzipped, and if there is a
read.me, what does that say?

I don't use ufw so am not sure what it might do, but common reasons
for RA not working are:

- Your host has IPv6 forwarding enabled so won't listen to RA by
  default
- You've blocked ICMPv6 router-advertisement inbound and/or ICMPv6
  router-solicitation outbound.

Could either of those be the case?

Cheers,
Andy

No and no. If you flush ip6tables you don't get an address via RA. If
you enable ufw you do.
