Re: [ubuntu-uk] Ada Lovelace Event
just to back up what Laura and Bea have already said, Ada Lovelace day, and the Ubuntu competition, is a positive global initiative to celebrate women involved in technology, and encourage others to participate. It isn't about dividing any community or coercing people into participating, it is about providing a positive environment where everyone feels their presence is welcome and their contribution is valued. [ubuntu-uk] Ada Lovelace Event
Aloha wondering how many Ubuntu women are on here and wondering if you'd like to come along to http://www.bcs.org/content/ConWebDoc/41634 [1] I'll be there might be nice to meet more Ubuntu women face to face as when it comes to event meet ups there does seem to be a lack of presence. If you're going let us and if want to meet up before hand so we can get an idea of numbers.. Nobody can protect you from that, and living alone won’t either, for solitude will also break you with its yearning. You have to love. You have to feel. It is the reason you are here on earth. You are here to risk your heart. You are here to be swallowed up.
