[ubuntu-uk] Minecraft!
Hi All, Courtesy of Bitfolk Ltd (thanks to Andy!), I have a minecraft server to test out with as many players as I can fit on it :) It's a test to see how well Minecraft runs on their VPS's. We are in creative mode on 1.8.1 at the moment, but may be switching to survival mode soon. If anyone could join, chat, build a house or two and let me know of the performance and issues of the server, that would be great! The address is: minecraft.monotoko.co.uk, I thought it could also act as an unofficial meet up and "get to know each other better" for us ubuntu-uk'ers :P Daniel -- ubuntu-uk@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-uk https://wiki.ubuntu.com/UKTeam/
[ubuntu-uk] Minecraft
Hi all, I'm looking for some people to join me in creating a 'Let's Play' series on minecraft. It would be sort of like lost, in that a group of people arrive in an unknown location and have to survive. I'l looking for 5-10 players, with minecraft and glc (or any other decent screen recorder) email me off-list or just join the server: megacat.cyberkingsolutions.co.uk:25565 Jacob Mansfield Programmer CyberKing Solutions™ www.cyberkingsolutions.co.uk - I do know the database is down "When Windows™ is opened the bugs come in." -- ubuntu-uk@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-uk https://wiki.ubuntu.com/UKTeam/

You can get more details and buy Minecraft at http://minecraft.net/ To be clear: It's non-free (currently ~15 EUR), non-Free (author says he may open source it when he's had enough), written in Java, runs on Ubuntu/Windows/OSX, in beta (price goes up later), has bugs, requires lots of RAM (ideally), requires 3D acceleration, a net connection.
