[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 718870] Re: [sandybridge] GPU lockup (IPEHR: 0x680b0000)
Maybe I have another bug, but the kernels mentioned in #4 and #5 do not behave any better. Whole machine hangs during the first minute after logon to KDE. With those two kernels it's so hanged I can't switch terminal and so can't see the error message. Even SysRq doesn't work. Latest kernel I have not crashing or hanging is 2.6.37-02063701-generic. 2.6.38-1-generic (based on rc2 I think) is the next one I have which started to show the problem. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xserver-xorg-video-intel in ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/718870 Title: [sandybridge] GPU lockup (IPEHR: 0x680b) ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp

Confirmed to be with the kernel drm. With the maverick-lts-backport kernel, we cannot reproduce the crash. [Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 736373] Re: monitor not working with savage driver
Thanks for your report. Did it work in a previous release? In that case it would be nice if you could provide an Xorg.0.log for instance by using a live CD of that release. It would be good if you can provide the xrandr info as explained on https://wiki.ubuntu.com/X/NonGraphicalBoot for a previous working release if any, as well as for the working vesa driver and the failing savage driver in Ubuntu 10.10. The instructions are given for a live CD, so on an installed system you will have to add text in the grub menu instead of in the CD start menu. ** Changed in: xserver-xorg-video-savage (Ubuntu) Status: New = Incomplete ** Changed in: xserver-xorg-video-savage (Ubuntu) Assignee: (unassigned) = Tormod Volden (tormodvolden) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xserver-xorg-video-savage in ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/736373 Title: monitor not working with savage driver ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 733689] Re: Occasionally, login screen is not the correct resolution
apport information ** Tags added: apport-collected ** Description changed: I'm using 10.10 on a Toshiba Satellite L500. Sometimes when I log in the size of my screen drops to about a third of the size. When I restart my machine the issue is resolved. This would seem to be a bug. It doesn't do it all of the time (maybe once every 15 logins or so), so I don't know how it can be replicated for analysis. I just wanted to get this out there. I've uploaded a new version of evdev to ppa:utouch-team/unstable. The package fixes things for the device recording. Please test it out and report success or issues here.
