[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 832624] Re: cursor jumping to screen border
If you look at the second video very carefully you can see that the cursor does not jump to the corner when the selection expands. What probably happens is that the application that does the background selection does not handle XInput valuators properly. An extremely similar bug was fixed in Qt recently. The reason this bug does not happen in Arch is that it does not provide this new XInput data so it uses "classic X" cursor location. To fix this bug we need to find out which app does XFCE desktop selection, how it reads XInput data and fix that. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xorg-server in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/832624 Title: cursor jumping to screen border To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/unity-foundations/+bug/832624/+subscriptions ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp

Octavian, Could you please explain what the change in status for this bug means? This is still very much a problem with my HP Pavilion dv7. In fact, it's gotten worse. At one point with this line in psmouse.conf: options psmouse proto=any I had right-scrolling and the right click for the mouse working. Not sure if this is exactly what I'm seeing but on hybrid-gpu systems (intel+fglrx), there are situations, where having fglrx loaded without actually being used by X is something one could want. Hmm, this might be just a dupe of bug #828684 and just coincidental that you got both issues at the same time, however in case not this may be worth some further investigation. [Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 760632] Re: Resizing Konsole crashes the whole system
I'm not part of the Ubuntu X team, so I don't know why this isn't getting an SRU, but please don't mess around with the driver script from nvidia unless you know exactly what you're doing. Also, the driver from nvidia isn't supported in ubuntu, so please don't suggest it (at least not here in the bug tracker). [Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 838577] Re: GNOME Shell display problems with FGLRX
11.9 did not helps for me. Less garbage in gnome-shell session, but followed by gnome-shell crash. Garbage on screen on KDE session. I have to downgrade to 11.8 :-( -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to fglrx-installer in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/838577 Title: GNOME Shell display problems with FGLRX To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/fglrx/+bug/838577/+subscriptions ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 852873] Re: GLX is broken for several commercial OpenGL games
It does seem odd that its been confirmed, but not assigned to anyone. Unfortunately, for me, this seems typical as I have other confirmed bugs in from the beginning of the year and nothing has been done. The work around seems to work for me as it only seems to affect 32bit games (Ironically, ID based games only (Doom3, ETQW, Etc...) :-D), but 64 bit games seems to work fine as does desktop composting. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to nvidia-graphics-drivers in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/852873 Title: GLX is broken for several commercial OpenGL games To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nvidia-graphics-drivers/+bug/852873/+subscriptions ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
