[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1218815] Re: [radeon] Graphic glitches and screen corruption (vertical lines) on XMir surfaces only
It's been suggested we have an incorrect stride value for scanout buffers (even when they're not being scanned out). That would certainly agree with the screenshot in comment #5. So I think a fix is required via mir_surface_get_current_buffer() ?... _X_EXPORT int32_t xmir_window_get_stride(xmir_window *xmir_win) { MirBufferPackage *package; mir_surface_get_current_buffer(xmir_win-surface, package); return package-stride; } ** Also affects: mir Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Changed in: mir Status: New = Triaged ** Changed in: mir Importance: Undecided = Critical -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xorg-server in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1218815 Title: [radeon] Graphic glitches and screen corruption (vertical lines) on XMir surfaces only To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/mir/+bug/1218815/+subscriptions ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1218815] Re: [radeon] Graphic glitches and screen corruption (vertical lines) on XMir surfaces only
So, this might be due to differing radeon_surface layouts based on the RADEON_SURF_SCANOUT flag. tvoss can apparently reproduce this, and it goes away when he *doesn't* add the SCANOUT flag to the gbm bo in Mir¹. XMir never sets RADEON_SURF_SCANOUT, so it's plausible that this is the issue. ¹: Luckily, it appears that this buffer still happens to be scanoutable ☺ -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xorg-server in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1218815 Title: [radeon] Graphic glitches and screen corruption (vertical lines) on XMir surfaces only To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/mir/+bug/1218815/+subscriptions ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1218815] Re: [radeon] Graphic glitches and screen corruption (vertical lines) on XMir surfaces only
Finally it's weekend, so I have some time for troubleshooting :) First of all, I took some new photos. glitches01 shows how the graphic corruptions looks most of the time when I'm not doing anything (like moving the mouse or whatever), glitches02 is a photo of what my screen looks like when I move the mouse cursor. Also, I tried mir_demo_client_egltriangle again, which you can see in the third photo. All these photos are from the current Mir version (0.0.10+13.10.20130903-0ubuntu1). Then I downgraded the following packages libmirclient2 libmirclient-dev libmirplatform libmirprotobuf0 libmirprotobuf-dev libmirserver1 libmirserver-dev mircommon-dev mir-demos unity-system-compositor to version 0.0.10+13.10.20130828.1-0ubuntu1 (or 0.0.1+13.10.20130828.1-0ubuntu1 for unity-system-compositor), after which the bug disappeared once again. I also confirmed that Mir is running via ps. Also, I created the package lists for both the working and non-working state. If there's anything more I can do please let me know :) ** Attachment added: glitches01.jpg https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xorg-server/+bug/1218815/+attachment/3805524/+files/glitches01.jpg -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xorg-server in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1218815 Title: [radeon] Graphic glitches and screen corruption (vertical lines) on XMir surfaces only To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/mir/+bug/1218815/+subscriptions ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1220645] Re: Webcam capture plays green screen through xv on Haswell platform
apport information ** Tags added: apport-collected ** Description changed: xv driver is having playback issue with webcam capture, it plays green screen. It was firstly found when using stock 12.04.3 image, during on installing step of Choose a Picture, the webcam view only playback with green screen, but it still can capture correctly if you hit the button. After completely installed 12.04.3 system or upgrade your X driver stack to lts-raring, on system with haswell chipset, webcam capture will playback with green screen. To reproduced this problem we could use: guvcview luvcview mplayer tv:///dev/video0 -vo xv vlc v4l2:/ //dev/video0 -V xv On the same hardware system, To validate that webcam works fine with other output drivers: luvcview -w mplayer tv:///dev/video0 -vo x11 vlc v4l2:/ //dev/video0 -V glx By downgrade to xserver-xorg-lts-quantal also fixes this issue, its also verified on 12.04.2 stock image with the same webcam. I am sorry but the files you provided are exactly same! And they look correct: key AE01 { type[group2]= THREE_LEVEL, symbols[Group1]= [ 1, exclam ], symbols[Group2]= [ 1, exclam, U05B1 ] }; key AE02 { type[group2]= THREE_LEVEL, symbols[Group1]= [ 2, at ], symbols[Group2]= [ 2, at, U05B2 ] }; etc So, keys 1 and 2 have proper mapping for both groups. [Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 987498] Re: Unity/compiz freeze but mouse still move
This is a Compiz issue - it doesn't seem to be related to my video drivers at all. Running 12.04LTS on HP 8570w (Nvidia K1000 - just in case there's a pattern), this also happened on my last HP 8560w (also nvidia). However - this problem seems to appear relatively randomly, I've found that bouncing Compiz = instant relief. As with others here - my screens lock up (laptop or my external monitors), the mouse will still move, key combos to launch an xterm work (ctrl+alt + t) as do the other ttys but I cannot click on any existing open window to move it or type in it (only in new term windows). Killing compiz and restarting it = instant relief however this is not a fix. The problem comes back in a short time. This often occurs under load - with many browser tabs up (FF) and with VMware WS running etc. So this issue makes running this itteration of Ubuntu almost unusable. I'm also getting similar errors on my Thinkpad T530 with Intel graphics (an Ivy Bridge i5-3210M with HD 4000 graphics chipset I think). The problems only started when I switched from my dead 1280x1024 VGA monitor to a new 2560x1440 DisplayPort monitor. The laptop also has trouble suspending and resuming when the DisplayPort is connected - this wasn't a problem with VGA. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xserver-xorg-video-intel in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1190527 Title: [ivb] FDI train failure with dual monitors To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xserver-xorg-video-intel/+bug/1190527/+subscriptions ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1124660] Re: Precise 20120213 i386 live session fails in virtualbox
For those who did not install updates, there is a workaround I found: When you get to a picture similar to the one attached, press any key. Then select your language. Afterwards, press F6. Press Esc. In the text: ... quiet splash -- change to: ... quiet splash -- xforcevesa That should be a workaround. ** Attachment added: Temporary workaround. https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libpciaccess/+bug/1124660/+attachment/3806660/+files/image.png -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to libpciaccess in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1124660 Title: Precise 20120213 i386 live session fails in virtualbox To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libpciaccess/+bug/1124660/+subscriptions ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1221990] [NEW] interfaces tickboxes remain unticked
Public bug reported: When left clicking on the KDE networkmanagement widget, a popup window appears divided in two panes. On the bottom of the left pane there are several tickboxes for enabling or disabling the several network interfaces present in the system.
