[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1216472] Re: [xmir] [multimonitor] Frames eventually get slightly out of order, look like glitches or typing will feel slow
Also affects the intel DDX. I keep finding myself tracing this bug into the Intel SNA code, which I don't yet understand. The issue seems to occur on frames where not- quite-all outputs are dirty, so sna_xmir_copy_to_mir() is only called for some of them (but not all). The bug goes away if I ensure sna_xmir_copy_to_mir() is called for all outputs. So this seems to suggest that the Intel SNA code is keeping track of frames/buffers and expecting a precise number of kgem_submit's, which of course doesn't always happen with multimonitor. ** Also affects: xserver-xorg-video-intel (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xorg-server in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1216472 Title: [xmir] [multimonitor] Frames eventually get slightly out of order, look like glitches or typing will feel slow To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/mir/+bug/1216472/+subscriptions ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1223332] Re: [sandybridge-m-gt2] False GPU lockup IPEHR: 0x7a000002
I discovered that ShiftClear was mapped to the open-indicators action in dconf, preventing me from ever using the Shift key. I changed the value to SuperClear -- crippling unity because Super became the show menu key. I remove all values to get some sense of normalcy back. I believe that xmodemap is being ignored. [Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 342926] Re: No PCI IOMEM space available below 4GB
I did some work upstream but it became too complicated. Others have also tried but nothing has changed. In the meantime the hardware out there that has a 32-bit limit imposed by its southbridge on 64-bit CPUs is all now old legacy gear so I don't foresee the kernel fixing this, ever. It still remains a problem for the hardware out there still in use where the user wants to install and use the maximum RAM possible but the 32-bit limitation prevents the PCIOMEM addresses being remapped above the 4GB boundary. ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu) Status: Incomplete = Triaged -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to nvidia-graphics-drivers-180 in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/342926 Title: No PCI IOMEM space available below 4GB To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/linux/+bug/342926/+subscriptions ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1213338] Re: Displaylink slow graphic performance on Ubuntu 13

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 408903] Re: Does not handle microphone mute button (KEY_MICMUTE)
@James: right, we still need to change other components, I've tagged the verification-done because the only piece up for verification at the moment is libx11 and you verified that one, getting it in updates would put us one step closer from fixing the issue right? Additionally, this requires a revert of xkeyboard-config that we have in -proposed. I'm not sure how to work that because this is my first verification-failed bug, but I assume I can just revert it. Do you need revert or extra changes? in any case the update is in precise-updates so you can't verification-failed it anymore (that's just used to get things dropped from proposed/not copied to updates), you need another upload on top of the current version -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to libx11 in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/408903 Title: Does not handle microphone mute button (KEY_MICMUTE) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/oem-priority/+bug/408903/+subscriptions ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 408903] Re: Does not handle microphone mute button (KEY_MICMUTE)
Sebastien, Thanks for flipping the tag. As noted in comment #108 , we still need backports of udev, gnome-settings-daemon, and xkeyboard-config to close this bug out. Additionally, this requires a revert of xkeyboard-config that we have in -proposed. I'm not sure how to work that because this is my first verification-failed bug, but I assume I can just revert it. https://code.launchpad.net/~jm-leddy/ubuntu/precise/xkeyboard- config/micmute We have two vendors in addition to Lenovo that have added micmute keys since this bug has been opened, and we're shipping 12.04 as the standard for all oem builds. [Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1212736] Re: Touch screen: Right click should be emulated by long press, like under Android
Also note that the right-click emulation of Universal Access only reveals the right-click menu after releasing the button, whereas under Android or Windows 8 the menu already pops up while long pressing. The latter gives the user the feedback that he has pressed long enough, and as it is also established as standard (two other operating systems use it) we should do it this way. ** Summary changed: - Touch screen: Right click should be emulated by long press, like under Android + Touch screen: Right click should be emulated by long press, like under Windows 8 and Android ** Description changed: I have a Lenovo Thinkpad Twist convertible ultrabook (Intel Core i7). - The tablet mode (touchscreen-only operation, keyboard folded away) get + The tablet mode (touchscreen-only operation, keyboard folded away) gets continuously working better. One important missing feature is an easy-to-do right click. The right- click emulation button in Onboard is a rather awkward solution, as Onboard only shows up when selecting a text input field. I suggest to emulate the right-click by a long press on the screen. It is done in Android this way, too, and works very well for me. Note that the long-press right-click functionality in Universal Access in the Control Center only works with a mouse and not with the touch screen (another bug). I filed the duplicate of this bug 161 as I get this frequently on both my i7 laptop and i7 desktop. I think I found a way to reproduce it easily on demand. Open chromium, and visit google maps. Sign up for new maps. Visit somewhere on the map and zoom all the way in then zoom in and out a bit. I have triggered this bug a few times just by doing that. I'm not using dual screens or anything funky. Just a basic Ubuntu 13.10 install with Unity. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xserver-xorg-video-intel in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1041790 Title: [snb] GPU lockup IPEHR: 0x0b160001 IPEHR: 0x0b140001, workaround i915.semaphores=0 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/xserver-xorg-video-intel/+bug/1041790/+subscriptions ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
