[Ubuntu-x-swat] Bug with nvidia systems Saucy/Petra GTX560
I have a GTX560 (Non-Ti) on Linux Mint 16 x64 (Petra). The dist-upgrade chose to install bublebee support! I was banging my head against a wall for 3 days. I then decided to see why my resolutions were broken and why CUDA was removed. I did however see bumblebee was included and thought it may have been a optimization or a merger of codes. I am not an expert with Linux, but have a high technical level with computers in general. I have 22 years experience ranging from Mac to WinX to Linux. Please make note of this ?bug? and provide a warning and or a fix for it. It created a blacklist for the normal Nvidia driver (kernel module). I was using the fresh crack ppa. [Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1267384] Re: 8086:29b2 [HP Compaq dc7800 Convertible Minitower PC] 82Q35 graphics acceleration performance worse than it could be
Maarten Lankhorst, if you are saying a BIOS update wouldn't help address a verified software bug (ex. bug in the xorg stack), this would go without saying. However, as well known and documented on Launchpad, BIOS bugs can cause various problems, including graphics ones. So, your prior statement would be misleading. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to mesa in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1267384 Title: 8086:29b2 [HP Compaq dc7800 Convertible Minitower PC] 82Q35 graphics acceleration performance worse than it could be To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/mesa/+bug/1267384/+subscriptions ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1231857] Re: [DPMS] Display backlight turns back on almost immediately after being turned off
This bug is still trivial to reproduce: 1. mir_demo_server_shell 2. Alt+P Expected: Display turns off and stays off Observed: Display turns off, and then immediately on again. Cursor is visible. At least a simple test case should make it easy to fix, in theory. ** Changed in: mir Status: Fix Released = Triaged ** Changed in: xmir Status: Fix Released = Triaged ** Changed in: xorg-server (Ubuntu) Status: Fix Released = Triaged -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xorg-server in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1231857 Title: [DPMS] Display backlight turns back on almost immediately after being turned off To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/mir/+bug/1231857/+subscriptions ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
