[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1337581] [NEW] Wacom mouse does not allow screen saving
Public bug reported: If a normal mouse remains still, screen saving will activate in Ubuntu as user has defined. If a Wacom-mouse is left on the tablet and remains still, screen saving will not activate in Ubuntu (14.04) as user has defined. Unfortunately I can not remember if this was an issue with Ubuntu 12.04. Tested with Wacom Bamboo Fun A6, Wacom mouse and 64-bit Ubuntu 14.04. ** Affects: libwacom (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to libwacom in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1337581 Title: Wacom mouse does not allow screen saving To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libwacom/+bug/1337581/+subscriptions ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1337586] [NEW] Mouse loses focus when multiple windows are open
Public bug reported: Hello, I'm using Ubuntu 14.04 LTS. I have done a little research and it appears that this could be related to my USB headset and mouse. I am using a Logitech G930 wireless USB headset and a Logitech G9x wired mouse. When I first boot into Ubuntu everything works fine, even with one window open (i.e. Firefox). I can browse the internet, open new tabs, etc., and everything functions as expected. As soon as I open another window or program (i.e. System settings, Terminal) I am unable to select any options in the focused window. If I click something on the focused window (the window in front of another window) the mouse click will actually register on the window below.. if that makes sense :/ However, I am able to select things using the keyboard. I am also unable to open any new programs on my quick launch bar, alt- tab doesn't work.. right-click on empty desktop won't open the menu, etc. The only way to fix this is to restart the X server or reboot. My headset and mouse function properly in the Windows OS. I have also tried them together using Linux Mint 17 w/ Cinnamon desktop and had the same problem. One thing I noticed with Linux Mint 17 was that everything appeared to work properly until I updated the kernel via software update and rebooted. I then started encountering the mouse/window focus issue. apt-cache policy xorg xorg: Installed: 1:7.7+1ubuntu8 Candidate: 1:7.7+1ubuntu8 Version table: *** 1:7.7+1ubuntu8 0 500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ trusty/main amd64 Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status Please advise if you need more information. [Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1337609] [NEW] Laptop lid standby issue on Kubuntu 14.04 LTS
Public bug reported: Hello, this is the first issue/bug I report to the developers team, I hope I'm reporting it the right way. I've been trying to find an answer to the issue described here ( http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=2232672 ) but nothing similar was found by google or in the forum. Any help or suggestion is welcome Best regards Accurate description of the issue (from the linked topic): Kubuntu 14.04 on laptop goes into standby again when lid reopened I have this problem with my ASUS K54HR Laptop: when I close the lid it goes into standby mode but when I open the lid again it power up for a second (the screen lights up for exactly 1-2 secs) and then falls back into standby. I have 2 partitions, root and home, so I decided to reinstall the system keeping all home files. If run the original kubuntu 14.04 image from a usb stick there's no problem with standby. Also if I login as a different user everything works fine. I think it could be related to some user configuration or some file in my home folder. I found out someone with the same problem on Xubuntu but it wasn't helpful. Did anybody else found the same issue? Any suggestions are more than welcome Further infos: lsb_release: Description:Ubuntu 14.04 LTS Release:14.04 uname -a: Linux K54HR 3.13.0-30-generic #54-Ubuntu SMP Mon Jun 9 22:45:01 UTC 2014 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 14.04 Package: xorg 1:7.7+1ubuntu8 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 3.13.0-30.54-generic 3.13.11.2 Uname: Linux 3.13.0-30-generic x86_64 ApportVersion: 2.14.1-0ubuntu3.2 Architecture: amd64 CurrentDesktop: KDE Date: Fri Jul 4 00:29:34 2014 InstallationDate: Installed on 2014-07-02 (0 days ago) InstallationMedia: Kubuntu 14.04 LTS Trusty Tahr - Release amd64 (20140416.1) SourcePackage: xorg Symptom: display UpgradeStatus: No upgrade log present (probably fresh install) ** Affects: xorg (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: amd64 apport-bug fonts kubuntu trusty ** Description changed: Hello, this is the first issue/bug I report to the developers team, I hope I'm reporting it the right way.
