[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 800064] Re: touchpad rotation when monitor rotated
TomasHnyk, if you want a wishlist item implemented, then please stop status jockeying a downstream report you aren't the original reporter on, which is simply unhelpful. Instead, report it to upstream directly. Otherwise, file a new report as already previously requested on multiple occasions. ** Changed in: xserver-xorg-input-synaptics (Ubuntu) Status: Confirmed = Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xserver-xorg-input-synaptics in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/800064 Title: touchpad rotation when monitor rotated To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xserver-xorg-input-synaptics/+bug/800064/+subscriptions ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp

If I opened a new report, I would have to make it a duplicate of this one. I could copy the original report to the new one. What would it help? [Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1365695] Re: No longer able to use GUI after update
Thank you everyone who helped to fix, or develop a workaround, for this issue. That is awesome. I still have a hold on my ubuntu-drivers-common and nvidia-common packages, and I am wondering whether it is safe to remove these holds. I have a question detailing this situation here: http://askubuntu.com/questions/521354/multiple-monitors-and-nvidia- optimus-not-working-after-apt-get-update It seems that this bug is not entirely fixed, although there is a workaround available, so I am wondering whether it is safe to update my packages. [Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1377128] Re: repair
Thanks for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. We appreciate the difficulties you are facing, but this appears to be a regular (non-security) bug. I have unmarked it as a security issue since this bug does not show evidence of allowing attackers to cross privilege boundaries nor directly cause loss of data/privacy. Please feel free to report any other bugs you may find. ** Changed in: xorg (Ubuntu) Status: Confirmed = New ** Changed in: xorg (Ubuntu) Assignee: kyawzinhtut (kyawzinbmstu) = (unassigned) ** Information type changed from Private Security to Public -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xorg in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1377128 Title: repair To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xorg/+bug/1377128/+subscriptions ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1377351] [NEW] Screen brightness does not change
Public bug reported: When I try to change the screen brightness using my Laptop's keyboard it shows me a bar that the screen brightness changes. However, the actual brightness does not change. If I tell the computer to change the brightness, then disconnect the charger, close the lid, wait a few seconds and re-open the lid the screen's actual brightness changes to the last one I set. This work-around works for me, but it is very annoying. If all I want to do is reduce brightness to save power I also need to make my computer sleep and wake it up again so that the brightness is applied. I do not have the immediate feedback to see if it is bright enough for my environment. [Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1311037] Re: [mesa] intel_do_flush_locked failed: Invalid argument
i am also affected by this issue, in a reproducable manner, before hybernation / suspend i start glxgears, after resume the glxgears terminal shows this error, and will continue to report it every time i try to start glxgears or other HW accerated opengl applications (minecraft and AlephOne in OpenGl mode), i then tried playing a video in vlc with opengl enabled video output modules, all which crashed vlc with that error, but if i switch it to software decode and softeware decode modules the video will play. these all work before a hibernation, and will work after a reset. this might also relate to bug 1355196 https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xserver-xorg-video-intel/+bug/1355196 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xserver-xorg-video-intel in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1311037 Title: [mesa] intel_do_flush_locked failed: Invalid argument To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xserver-xorg-video-intel/+bug/1311037/+subscriptions ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp

@Thomas Dickey (dickey-his) Thanks! I also discovered this problem to be #297-specific.
