[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1376988] Re: ATI/AMD drivers are not working

2014-10-07 Thread David Chen
Seems you are having the same problem as I meet in Ubuntu 14.10 beta. I
tried the latest driver from AMD website, latest in Ubuntu repo, none of
them works. Drivers can be installed just fine, xorg.conf generated,
but system can't boot. I can boot with radeon driver, or with fglrx-
core installed. System boots fine with 14.04.

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1378608] [NEW] severe performance regression in minecraft

2014-10-07 Thread Phillip Susi
Public bug reported:

I was getting something like 50 fps playing minecraft the other day with
my new radeon r7 260x. Today I updated the system and mesa went from
version 10.2.6-1ubuntu3 to 10.3.0-0ubuntu2, and the performance dropped
to ~12 fps. I am trying to build the old version from sources to see if
downgrading mesa fixes the problem and then start bisecting, but I can't
find the proper sources or get them to build. The bzr repo (
lp:ubuntu/mesa ) is out of date, and the Vcz-Git: header points to the
debian git repo, which git-buildpackage can't seem to build for me
anyhow. Please advise on how to build and bisect to find the cause of
the problem.

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1378487] [NEW] x server keeps crashing

2014-10-07 Thread Shaun Overholtzer
Public bug reported:

While I am using Ubuntu the x-server keeps freezing on me. I still can
hear sounds coming from open applications and when I click blindly
around, I get responses; but from my perspective everything is frozen in
place. I am able to work around this by pressing ctrl-alt-f2 whenever it
happens, but it occurs so frequently that it inhibits any work or play
that I try to do on the system. Hopefully there is a fix to this
problem.

Thank you.

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1378353] [NEW] monitor brightness switched to lowest level after logout

2014-10-07 Thread b3nmore
Public bug reported:

After logout, switching to another login screen or shutting down the
monitor brightness is set to its lowest level, making it rather hard to
read in bright environments. Pressing a brightness key once (up or down
does not matter) sets the monitor brightness to its highest level.
Therefore it seems, that a vt switch leaves the brightness level at a
undefined state and after triggering a manual change, it switches to
some default setting.

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1275398] Re: i915 driver/i945 hardware: Mir GL clients are rendered as black or transparent windows when using i945 graphics

2014-10-07 Thread Andreas Pokorny
It is in the 10.3. branch but a few commits after the 10.3 tags. So it
will be in 10.3.1.

Or we cherry pick that into 10.3?
