[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1449549] Re: upon wake up from suspend, mouse driver will not load. must then do hard reset.
Randall Bowman, could you please test the latest upstream kernel available from the very top line at the top of the page (the release names are irrelevant for testing, and please do not test the daily folder) following https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds ? It will allow additional upstream developers to examine the issue. If the test did not allow you to test to the issue (ex. you couldn't boot into the OS) please make a comment in your report about this, and continue to test the next most recent kernel version until you can test to the issue. Once you've tested the upstream kernel, please comment on which kernel version specifically you tested. If this bug is fixed in the mainline kernel, please add the following tags by clicking on the yellow circle with a black pencil icon, next to the word Tags, located at the bottom of the report description: kernel-fixed-upstream kernel-fixed-upstream-X.Y-rcZ Where XY and Z are numbers corresponding to the kernel version. If the mainline kernel does not fix this bug, please add the following tags: kernel-bug-exists-upstream kernel-bug-exists-upstream-X.Y-rcZ Once testing of the upstream kernel is complete, please mark this bug's Status as Confirmed. Well this one also came back after this switch to gonme and back (Reboot fixed it again) You can see the cursor is on both monitor, and the left monitor scrolls sideways to also display right monitor content on the left. --GOME TEST NOTES-- Error did not happen in gnome, but i now remember why i cant use gnome. If a move window to laptop monitor and try to maximize it it will be moved to left monitor and be large there. (Same thing go for flash and games and video in full screen) get get it ti sick on Right monitor If monitor's position is switched position of the problem is also switched. (meaning that full screen is ALWAYS left regardless if it is build in monitor or external in that location.) --GOME TEST NOTES-- ** Attachment added: scrolling sideway's error https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xorg/+bug/1417826/+attachment/4390630/+files/DSC_0039.JPG -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xorg in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1417826 Title: display acting up. overlay .. ? [Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1450332] Re: Xorg freeze
I was not able to upgrade BIOS FA to FB because FB has the wrong Id. This is due to the motherboard being Rev 2.0 (checked by looking at motherboard). In other words, the PC seller forced in the wrong BIOS - FA which is for Rev 2.2 . So I upgraded the BIOS to FH - the latest non- beta for Rev 2.0 dated 2013 i.e 2 years later than FA. However, still not able to change users by selecting different user from top of screen - screen just goes black. I'm able to change user by logging out current user before logging 'new' user. BTW I only have 2 users on an 8GB PC. Output asked for: john@Desktop:~$ sudo dmidecode -s bios-version sudo dmidecode -s bios-release-date FH 02/25/2013 ** Changed in: xorg (Ubuntu) Status: Incomplete = Confirmed -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xorg in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1450332 Title: Xorg freeze To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xorg/+bug/1450332/+subscriptions ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
