[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1597079] Re: AMDGPU Black Screen when Booting

2016-10-17 Thread FFab
J have the same problems.
Notebook HP Pavilion 17-g164ng, AMD A10-8780P APU, Kubuntu 16.04.1, UEFI,
UEFI/BIOS F.19.
Nomodeset - 800x600 -is no solution for working.
When starting life-system from USB in CSM mode, nomodeset, I get optimal
resolution for my screen - 1600x900.
But CSM-mode installation is no option for installation.

Same Problems and same "nomodeset" results with Kubuntu 16.10 life-
system.

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1634249] [NEW] Since upgrade to Gnome Ubuntu 16.10, my mouse is slow and cursor small on gnome shell menus

2016-10-17 Thread Vianney Carel
Public bug reported:

I upgraded 2 days ago to Gnome Ubuntu 16.10.
Since then, my mouse is 2x slower and my cursor is 2x smaller...:
- during Gnome startup (about 1 or 2 seconds on my system)
- on Gnome Shell menus

The cursor gets back to normal after I open a GTK application (such as
Nautilus, but not Google Chrome). But the mouse is still slow anyway.
I have an Asus UX305 with an HiDPI screen (3200x1800).

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1634220] Re: Wallpaper does not resize correctly when adding external display

2016-10-17 Thread groucho
I think I have the same bug with Ubuntu 16.10.
16.04 was fine.

Additionally, setting a new wallpaper is a bit slow. The new wallpaper
appears after a delay of 2 seconds without any special effect (no fading
in/out).

Graphics card : Intel HD graphics.

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1634220] [NEW] Wallpaper does not resize correctly when adding external display

2016-10-17 Thread Andreas Büsching
Public bug reported:

When I add a second (external) display to my laptop (Dell Latitude) the
wallpaper/background is not resized correctly.

1. just an internal display with a resolution of 1366x768
2. adding an external display with a full HD resolution

Adding the external display results in
- the wallper is shown in the upper left corner of the external display
(probably with the resolution of the internal display.
- The rest of the screen is filled with random segments of windows that have
been shown at these positions before
- the internal display does not show any wallpaper (completely black)

Additionally it looks like the left side panels (one for internal and
one for external) are drawn over each other on the external display. See
attachment Auswal_001.png

Deactivating the internal display does not change anything

Locking the screen shows a correctly resized wallpaper in the
background.
