[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1812948] Re: bug search

2019-01-22 Thread Daniel van Vugt
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. Unfortunately, we cannot work on this bug because your
description didn't include enough information. You may find it helpful
to read "How to report bugs effectively"
http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/bugs.html. We'd be grateful
if you would then provide a more complete description of the problem.

We have instructions on debugging some types of problems at
http://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingProcedures.

At a minimum, we need:
1. The specific steps or actions you took that caused you to encounter the
problem.
2. The behavior you expected.
3. The behavior you actually encountered (in as much detail as possible).
Thanks!

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1576844] Re: Touchpad/Trackpad freezes then eventually unfreezes (repeatedly)

2019-01-22 Thread Juno
I have recently acquired an used Latitude model and I'm having the same
issue on Ubuntu 18.04. This E6420 model has a trackpoint/pointing stick
on it, which works fine, moving the cursor around, but the pad won't
work for something between 30 seconds to over a minute. Everything else
is running fine during that touchpad freeze. I still have not updated
the BIOS.

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1731094] Re: Trouble Switching between GPUs on a Carrizo laptop with an integrated and discrete graphics card.

2019-01-22 Thread Craig Stein
At present this machine is running Manjaro and unfortunately I don't
have time to load Ubuntu on it. However I did try 18.04 recently and I
don't believe that it had the bug. I was able to specify to Steam to run
on the discrete graphics and it ran as expected using DRI_PRIME=1. I
didn't run this exact command however.

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1719038] Re: X Server crashes during log in VM since 16.04.2

2019-01-22 Thread Christian Ehrhardt 
Hi Gannet,
the discussion of RussianNeuroMancer with upstream ended trying to tackle the
KDE resolution setting [1], but not a change in qemu/libvirt or other
components of the virst-stack. Also it was reported that newer versions were
less (or not)9 affected.

Is your case related to KDE as well, or do you have a more generic/easy
reproducer to trigger this issue?
