[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1992996] Re: RM: obsolete intel opencl libraries (for llvm-11, -13)

2022-10-17 Thread Steve Langasek
Unfortunately, for the last one it hasn't been removed because despite
Debian saying it's no longer used, reverse-depends appears to disagree:

Reverse-Depends
* libllvmspirvlib-11-dev(for libllvmspirvlib11)
* libopencl-clang11 (for libllvmspirvlib11)
* libopencl-clang13 (for libllvmspirvlib13)
* llvm-spirv-11 (for libllvmspirvlib11)

Packages without architectures listed are reverse-dependencies in:
amd64, arm64, armhf, ppc64el, s390x

Reverse-Build-Depends
* llvm-toolchain-13 (for llvm-spirv)
* llvm-toolchain-14 (for llvm-spirv)

so I don't see that we can remove this from Ubuntu. If I'm missing some
reason this doesn't break the named reverse-dependencies, please clarify
here.

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1978980] Re: [amdgpu] Wrong external screen resolution after wake up from sleep

2022-10-17 Thread Jake Jellinek
I don't know if my problem is the same as this bug or not. Ubuntu
22.04.1 LTS clean install.

Dell Latitude 5520 laptop.

I have two external monitors attached, one via HDMI and one via USB-C
(different resolutions on each monitor)

After the screen locks, when coming back after 15 minutes or so and
putting in my password to resume my session, the USB-C monitor has
changed to a lower resolution and the layout of the three monitors has
changed around.

I correct this by unplugging the usb-c connector and plugging it back in
again whereupon everything goes back to how it should be.

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1990456] Re: xorg reports bogus 1600x1024 resolution

2022-10-17 Thread Timo Aaltonen
of the failed autopkgtests only this one remains:

 ktimetracker/4:5.0.1-3 (armhf)

and I've retried it a number of times but it's persistant. I don't see
how this change could make it fail though.

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1993144] Re: disply

2022-10-17 Thread Daniel van Vugt
Your hardware is too new for Ubuntu 18.04:

[2.213969] [drm] Your graphics device 9a78 is not properly supported by the
driver in this
   kernel version. To force driver probe anyway, use
i915.force_probe=9a78
   module parameter or CONFIG_DRM_I915_FORCE_PROBE=9a78
configuration option,
   or (recommended) check for kernel updates.

Please install a newer version of Ubuntu like 22.04, which already
supports your hardware:
