[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 373611] Re: Enabling extra typographic characters adds third keyboard layout

2009-06-05 Thread Alexey Androsov
I have same effect too.

1) Start system: 3 layouts
2) fix layouts with this command
$  setxkbmap -option -option grp:caps_toggle,lv3:ralt_switch,misc:typo
3) press key which generates acpi event (for example, Fn+Volume Up) and get 3rd
layout again

My notebook: Fujitsu-Siemens S7110

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 373611] Re: Enabling extra typographic characters adds third keyboard layout

2009-05-14 Thread Alexey Androsov
** Package changed: kdebase (Ubuntu) = x11-xkb-utils (Ubuntu)

** Description changed:

I have russian and english layouts and want to enable typographic
characters (such as «»… and others)

  KDE:
System settings - Language - keyboard layout
  Set Enable extra typographic characters
my xkb command: setxkbmap -option -option
grp:caps_toggle,lv3:ralt_switch,misc:typo

All works well, but when I restart system I get 3 layouts: english,
russian, typo (called 3). And every time I start my computer I need to
call setxkbmap command manualy to remove unnecessary 3rd layout.

  Kubuntu 9.04
  KDE: 4.2.3 from kubuntu-ppa (http://ppa.launchpad.net/kubuntu-ppa/ppa/ubuntu)
Same problems with KDE 4.2.2 from official repository.
+
+ My friends use Ubuntu 9.04 (gnome) and have same problem.
+
+ I suppose this problem is in xkb.
