It happens also on Ubuntu 12.04, but I don't have a dual monitor, just
the screen of my laptop..and there is no problem with the icons, the
theme, ecc..everything is fine besides the error after the login and
some problems with reboot/switchoff/logout..

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 369381] Re: when shutting down screen goes white then pink without cutting power after installation of nvidia proprietary driver 180

2012-03-25 Thread Andrea Amoroso
The problem still reproduces in Ubuntu 12.04..I have an Nvidia 9600M and I have
installed the nvidia-current-updates driver, which is in version
295.20-0ubuntu1. The problem was still present in Ubuntu 11.10, but not in the
previous versions of Ubuntu..
on logout, restart and shutdown the screen goes pink and stuck and you can only
press hold the shutdown button..
and it is an annoying problem not being able to logout or to restart..I hope
you can help me..

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 894061] [NEW] Ubuntu 11.10 quit/restart problem with nvidia proprietary driver

2011-11-23 Thread Andrea Amoroso
Private bug reported:

This problem was also in Ubuntu 11.04 and I don't know exactly its reason,
maybe it's related to Xorg..I upgraded to Ubuntu 11.10 but the problem is still
present..when I quit or restart Ubuntu, it appears a purple screen that never
goes off and I have to manually turn off the laptop with the phisical button..I
installed the X-Updates ppa and the problem still happens..I also tried the
recommended driver, the current, the current-updates, but it didn't work..
my video card is Nvidia 9600m gt..

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 636311] Re: Keyboard special keys interfere with mouse

2010-10-18 Thread Andrea Amoroso
Yes, it affects me too..I have the original netbook keyboard and a trust
mouse..after some time the left button doesn't work anymore..even if I
try to unplug and plug it again..the mouse still moves but the left
button doesn't work..I'm playing Quakelive when it happens..I surely
press a special key as a mistake and the left button of the mouse
doesn't work..I have to restart Ubuntu every time the problem
happens..Ubuntu 10.10 up to date..Compaq mini netbook..

I solved my problem..I just disabled ubuntu tweak for Jaunty and that
was enough..I had enabled the repo for the X server, I think that this
was the problem..
