[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 652311] [NEW] P4M900 won't boot into X from 10.04.1 medium without xforcevesa
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-video-openchrome I was trying out Lucid on my fiancees machine (a Semp Toshiba Info IS 1462) but found that I could only get X to start using the xforcevesa boot option. [Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 525273] [NEW] nouveau fails to support XV acceleration ION
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-video-nouveau Using nouveau I get very choppy playback in fullscreen. This appears to be because XV acceleration is not available (though according to Fedora the driver is supposed to support this). Test using gstreamer-properties and set to X Window System (X11/XShm/Xv) rather than autodetect then test, it will complain that it is unable to initialize XV output. [Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 524415] [NEW] gdm screen grabled on nvidia ION
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-video-nouveau I used jockey to uninstall the nvidia driver, then I deleted the xorg.conf files to remove any traces of it's configuration modifications. I rebooted, then install the xserver-xorg-video-nouveau package and rebooted. After a long delay X comes up and gdm looks like the attached photo. I captured all the information I could think of and will attach them. If anything is missing I can likely reproduce this very easily.
