[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 742517] Re: [sandy bridge] xorg freezes with 100% cpu usage

2011-05-17 Thread Rechner-Tester
Sorry, but I can not upgrade to natty for various reasons, so I can not test
this bug with natty.
It would be hard to reproduce it anyway, if at all:
- the GPU driver will change from VESA to intel with the upgrade.
- I still don't know how to reproduce this for sure.

But the situation improved very much:
In the last few weaks (maybe 5-7) my desktop only froze two times.
I suspect an update as the reason for this improvement.

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 742517] Re: [sandy bridge] xorg freezes with 100% cpu usage

2011-03-30 Thread Rechner-Tester
I've missed some information which might be relevant:

- I'm using a dual display setup
- I can restart Xorg with kill -9 PID but not with kill, kill -2, kill -14 or
kill -15
- Xorg only uses about 90% CPU time, 10% are used by an other process which
name I will report as soon as xorg hangs again (hopefully never ^^)

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 742517] [NEW] [sandy bridge] xorg freezes with 100% cpu usage

2011-03-25 Thread Rechner-Tester
Public bug reported:

xorg freezes randomly with 99% cpu usage on one cpu core. I can still move the
mouse and use ssh to login/restart. Switching to a console with CTRL + ALT +Fx
or using CTRL + ALT + BACKSPACE (after enabling of course) doesn't work.
Compize is disabled (no 3D support for the integrated graphics).
I believe (but I'm not sure) this happens when switching to an other
application, showing the desktop or switching to an other virtual desktop.

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 424863] Re: reporting 1400x1400 as maximum resolution

2009-11-23 Thread Rechner-Tester
How can i add the output from ubuntu-bug to this report? I copy 'n pasted the
title/description and he askes me:
Is reporting 1400x1400 as maximum resolution one of these bugs? but this
one dosent shows up. Thought this was about the status invalid but changing
dosen't find my bug anyway :-(
Most userfriendly would be: ubuntu-bug xorg -add bugno or an option in the
webinterface: This are additional informations. Add to bug bugno

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 424863] [NEW] reporting 1400x1400 as maximum resolution

2009-09-05 Thread Rechner-Tester
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: x11-xserver-utils

runing systemtest xserver reports 1400x1400 as maximum resolution. Maybe this
is only a typo.
I'm not sure if systemtest added all details. If not drop me a message.
