[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1891745] [NEW] Xorg crashed with SIGSEGV in dixSaveScreens()
Public bug reported: This instance happened after lockscreen, as such may be suspend-resume related. On the other hand at least 0 and 10 parts on backtrace appear similar to bug #1891636 While this appears to be a recent regression, DpkgLog.txt doesn't contain xorg references. Could it be related to kernel upgrades then, or just happened to slip by undetected after earlier upgrades? [Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1871916] [NEW] Navi gpu falls back to vesa/radeon/fbdev/etc drivers instead of amdgpu
Public bug reported: Installed (upgraded 16->18->20 beta) ubuntu appears to utilize incorrect x.org drivers for RX 5500 XT. Those drivers appear to be missing features like multi-monitor support. On the other hand live-usb of 20.04 beta did manage to utilize all 3 connected monitors (before crashing), so the issue may also be related to upgrading process (used do-release- upgrade since update-managed does not scale down to 800x600 fallback which 18.04 used with unsupported hardware). Yes, this report is in need of some triaging, unless it happens to be a clear duplicate of another bug report. [Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 908305] Re: Xorg freeze
This bug report was not actually meant to be about hybrid graphics, but about nouveau not working when sandy bridge gfx is _disabled_. That configuration works fine with natty. [Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 488255] [NEW] [Karmic] X loses keyboard and mouse on selecting "Switch User..."
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: xorg Choosing "Switch User..." sometimes results in unresponsive gdm which does not recognize keyboard/mouse. Doing a manual "startx" at that point from console gives the same result - an X session with no keyboard/mouse. Possibly related errors from Xorg.*.log: [config/dbus] couldn't take over org.x.config: org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.AccessDenied (Connection ":1.106" is not allowed to own the service "org.x.config.display2" due to security policies in the configuration file) (EE) config/hal: couldn't initialise context: unknown error (null) Similar symptoms to Bug #271138 Also the above dbus error message refers to org.x.config.display2, which is not listed in /etc/dbus-1/system.d/xorg-server.conf ProblemType: Bug Architecture: amd64 CheckboxSubmission: daa65eb481f008d2e20a16eaf5bf4c77 CheckboxSystem: edda5d4f616ca792bf437989cb597002 Date: Wed Nov 25 17:03:49 2009 DistroRelease: Ubuntu 9.10 MachineType: System manufacturer P5K Premium NonfreeKernelModules: nvidia Package: xserver-xorg 1:7.4+3ubuntu7 ProcCmdLine: BOOT_IMAGE=/vmlinuz-2.6.31-15-generic root=/dev/mapper/kar-kar_root ro ProcEnviron: LANGUAGE=en_DK.UTF-8 LANG=en_DK.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6.31-15.50-generic RelatedPackageVersions: xserver-xorg 1:7.4+3ubuntu7 libgl1-mesa-glx 7.6.0-1ubuntu4 libdrm2 2.4.14-1ubuntu1 xserver-xorg-video-intel 2:2.9.0-1ubuntu2 xserver-xorg-video-ati 1:6.12.99+git20090929.7968e1fb-0ubuntu1 SourcePackage: xorg Uname: Linux 2.6.31-15-generic x86_64 dmi.bios.date: 12/10/2007 dmi.bios.vendor: American Megatrends Inc. dmi.bios.version: 0504 dmi.board.asset.tag: To Be Filled By O.E.M. dmi.board.name: P5K Premium dmi.board.vendor: ASUSTeK Computer INC. dmi.board.version: Rev 1.xx dmi.chassis.asset.tag: Asset-1234567890 dmi.chassis.type: 3 dmi.chassis.vendor: Chassis Manufacture dmi.chassis.version: Chassis Version dmi.modalias: dmi:bvnAmericanMegatrendsInc.:bvr0504:bd12/10/2007:svnSystemmanufacturer:pnP5KPremium:pvrSystemVersion:rvnASUSTeKComputerINC.:rnP5KPremium:rvrRev1.xx:cvnChassisManufacture:ct3:cvrChassisVersion: dmi.product.name: P5K Premium dmi.product.version: System Version dmi.sys.vendor: System manufacturer fglrx: Not loaded system: distro: Ubuntu architecture: x86_64kernel: 2.6.31-15-generic ** Affects: xorg (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: amd64 apport-bug -- [Karmic] X loses keyboard and mouse on selecting "Switch User..." https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/488255 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xorg in ubuntu. ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 484909] [NEW] X loses keyboard and mouse after logout (9.10 livecd with karmic-updates)
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: xorg Started 9.10 livecd, installed updates and virt-manager, logged out to get new groups applied. That resulted in a login screen which didn't respond to keyboard/mouse. Pressed alt-sysrq-r and alt-f2 (as opposed to ctrl-alt-f2) to get to console to submit the bug. In theory this might be related to X losing keyboard & mouse focus on guest account on my other computer as well. On both computers both keyboard and mouse are usb ones.
