I have tried to install the nvidia-current for Mavrick 260.19.06-0ubuntu1 and was successful installed but still problem with dependence for nvidia-setting 260.19.06-0ubuntu1. I hope that will found a way to install it, because most video and graphic program don't can't run anymore without acceleration graphic. Public bug reported: Binary package hint: xorg Hello, I running Kubuntu Lucid LVM 10.04 LTS on x86 64 and from a few times now, i get lot of problem with the graphic, i don't know if are due of 10.04.1 update package but now i get sometimes and always more , artifact, text unreadable, texture mixed with others and so start to buging all desktop After a few times when i move on the icon, theirs come back normal but still starting bugging few time after ... I have added a screen shout , so you will see how bad are that thing. I must say to that menu are affected too after that the desktop start to bug. I never has that big problem early the newest big update to 10.04.1 for info but xorg was already bad bug before, i just see more backtrace in xorg.log now. but i don't know if are releated to that problem. Hello, i running a fresh install of kubuntu Lucid 10.04 on x86 64 , well it's the same machine, the bug look to be fixed, i tried with and without Nvidia drivers, so i am not really sure that was the Nvidia drivers, look like KDE bug, with KDE 4.4, it never crash or freeze my desktop. It's a really good news, it was my fear, since this bug has really damaged my system early . But still a big problem for karmic users anyway. That's why i run only with basic desktop. Hello, I run a fresh install of kubuntu Lucid 10.04 on x86 64 and i have the same bug with Nvidia Driver. I make the update and right after booting, i wasn't able to restart anymore. Failed to load module Nvidia. After that the only was to reformat, So i am waiting before install any graphic drivers , since it look a serious bugs. The last apport-collect are make right after my new crash system, when i rebooted it. The bug is appear when i clicked on the Quassel icon, in the taskbar to reduce it. Then all graphic crashed and no system respond .
