[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1051027] Re: MacBookAir3, 1 loses desktop background image after suspend/resume
thank you for your bug report, that's not a gnome-control-center issue though, that component is only an interface to change configuration keys, it doesn't do any background rendering is is not running all the time, your issue seems rather a kernel/video driver one ** Changed in: gnome-control-center (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided = Low ** Changed in: gnome-control-center (Ubuntu) Status: New = Invalid -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xorg in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1051027 Title: MacBookAir3,1 loses desktop background image after suspend/resume To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-control-center/+bug/1051027/+subscriptions ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1051027] Re: MacBookAir3, 1 loses desktop background image after suspend/resume
Bryce, It is reproducible and happens every time I sleep/resume. It's similar to another bug I encountered a while ago in Oneiric and for a while in Natty Beta 1 where the background would disappear on sleep/resume but, if I left-clicked anywhere on the Dekstop, the image would reappear. That's not the case with this manifestation; the background disappears until I re-select it from Appearance. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xorg in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1051027 Title: MacBookAir3,1 loses desktop background image after suspend/resume To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-control-center/+bug/1051027/+subscriptions ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1051027] Re: MacBookAir3, 1 loses desktop background image after suspend/resume
After doing testing with LP Bug #1051035 and LP Bug #1051020 I no longer see this issue with all packages updated as of 17-Sep 21:00 UTC and running Linux medic 3.6.0-030600rc6-generic #201209161835 SMP Sun Sep 16 22:36:28 UTC 2012 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux. I will test this again after rebooting to the stock Quantal kernel (on the off chance that this is actually a video corruption issue related to the above two bugs). -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xorg in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1051027 Title: MacBookAir3,1 loses desktop background image after suspend/resume To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-control-center/+bug/1051027/+subscriptions ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp

[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1051027] Re: MacBookAir3, 1 loses desktop background image after suspend/resume
Unlikely to be X doing this, but feel free to reopen if evidence comes to light indicating X is doing something wrong. I'd suggest also trying multiple times and see if the fault is reproducible or not. ** Changed in: xorg (Ubuntu) Status: New = Invalid -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xorg in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1051027 Title: MacBookAir3,1 loses desktop background image after suspend/resume To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-control-center/+bug/1051027/+subscriptions ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
