[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1241523] Re: Ubuntu Gnome 13.10 amd64 Anymations Flickering
This bug has much been fixed in ubuntu gnome trusty, but that flickering is also somewhat present, especially when opening multiple programs or program windows. In ubuntu gnome 13.10 I minimized that by editing time constants in overlay.js and using smaller values. This may probebly be an option for multitasking too. I installed ubuntu gnome trusty on external usb hdd, so I will use the apport-collect command from ther. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xorg in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1241523 Title: Ubuntu Gnome 13.10 amd64 Anymations Flickering To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xorg/+bug/1241523/+subscriptions ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp

cyberalex4life, thank you for providing the requested information. Looking at your initial lspci.txt it would appear your nvidia card was disabled (ex. via BIOS, etc.). [Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 1241523] Re: Ubuntu Gnome 13.10 amd64 Anymations Flickering
cyberalex4life, this bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? If so, could you please test for this with the latest development release of Ubuntu? ISO images are available from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/daily-live/current/ . If it remains an issue, could you please run the following command in the development release from a Terminal (Applications-Accessories-Terminal), as it will automatically gather and attach updated debug information to this report: apport-collect -p xorg REPLACE-WITH-BUG-NUMBER Thank you for your understanding. The bugg with i7 processor is false. Turbostat shows correct turbo boost. After cleaning the system with bleachbit and not running indicator-cpufreq flickering is not that proeminent. ** Changed in: xorg (Ubuntu) Assignee: (unassigned) = cyberalex4life (cyberalex4life) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xorg in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1241523 Title: Ubuntu Gnome 13.10 amd64 Anymations Flickering To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xorg/+bug/1241523/+subscriptions ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
