Considering that Xenial uses Linux 4.4 and the patch to fix this issue
was in Linux 4.3-rc7, I'm going to assume this is fixed. I am just an
Ubuntu user (not a developer) so please revert if I am incorrect.

Same here on G84GLM [Quadro FX 1600M].
I will let you know if v4.3-rc7-unstable which contains the fix for

Hallo Carla
I had a talk with a nouveau dev. that tells me that the fail set domain error 
is a sort of OOM specific to video cards and in this case the memory of the 
card is few so it run out, but on the other hand he admitted that nouveau would 
have to better handle it.
Then we keep valid the report but the fix will not be the nexts...
Please update the report if you still having problems with nvidia drivers too.

I uninstalled kernel 4.2.0-996, now I am on 4.2.0-10 and I installed  NVIDIA 
binary driver - version 340.93.
