[UC] Local restaurant question

2010-02-15 Thread Glenn moyer
UCD's marketing publication, The Quest, claims that a restaurant called
Guacamole will open at 46th and Woodland. That seems confusing because I don't
see any open store front. Does anyone know anything?

Also, I think I saw something about a Sangria mix available at The Gold
Standard. I forgot to ask about this. Has anyone tried it?

Lastly, I usually avoid any promotion of businesses, but I support sharing
vegan tips. I can recommend the tofu scramble at The Gold Standard. I also
commend the management for offering it at a neighborhood people's price of $4
and including a few pieces of cantelope. (I'd like to see more simple healthy
options available at people's prices in neighborhood restaurants.)

Thanks,
Glenn

There's a family that has owned their property on the corner of Woodland aves
and Markoe St (across the street from UC Green's office).

They have great support from UCD and the City and they are moving forward
quickly to open. I think their address is something like 4610 or 4612 woodland
Ave

Anyone know what is moving into 47th Cedar- where the Carrot Cake Man used to
be? When I drive by in the mornings I see renovations taking place.
