Re: [UC] Deer in Woodland Cemetary

2007-05-21 Thread KMHopkins
I called Woodlands Cemetery. The woman who answered the phone said that she
did not know anything about this (and she was upset to hear it), but would ask
the executive director. I forwarded the original email to her.

I called the PA Game Commission, and got information promptly from a man who
said that I was the second person to call today. The PA Game Commission has
issued a permit to Woodlands Cemetery to cull deer. The PA Game Commission
does not do the job itself. He believes that Woodlands Cemetery has contracted
with the US Department of Agriculture, but he does not have any further
details.

Did KYW have any idea what is making the deer explode? How far away from
the deer should you be to avoid serious injury if one does explode?

Enquiring minds want to know.

I heard a report on KYW about the "exploding deer population." That

This is a problem, when it comes to deer. Deer are large, WILD animals. Yes,
it's sad to see them be killed, but they are a potential hazard to the
aforementioned joggers, bikers, walkers and cars. For the most part, they
