I tried a few things but what seems to have done the trick is starting squeezelite with -o iec958:CARD=Audio,DEV=0 this is specifically the SPDIF output of the USB chip (CM6631), that seemed to make sense as my box is USB>SPDIF rather than a full DAC. To be honest I really do not understand what difference this would make from using "sysdefault" and I have seen others use "front" but it seems to make sense in terms of how I am using the USB chip and seems to have worked for now. If anybody has an understanding of the effect of using the different devices that your USB chip shows up I would be interested! This F19-R2 (Release 2) updates the F19-R1 image. It's more of a refresh
than an update. Updated Fedora system packages, (around 200 or so since
R1), latest versions of CS packages, (kernel, LMS, squeezelite,
jivelite, web), enable the NetworkManager-dispatcher service, and
install one new package, (imx-sdma-firmware).
