What type of Raspberry Pi are you using? On the later Raspberry Pis there was a hiss on the audio out but I thought that was fixed in the later version of piCorePlayer. Consider getting some kind of i2s DAC. At times I even do development on a wireless piCorePlayer. I have found wireless to be very reliable. Unfortunately, I don't have a EDIMAX EW-7811UN to test. Whenever I buy a EDIMAX EW-7811UN compatible USB wifi adaptor it turns out to be not compatible. Steps. Power off your Raspberry Pi. Insert wifi USB adaptor. Power on your Raspberry Pi. Go to WIFI Setting page. Set wifi on. Add your SSID. Add your password. Add your security. Press save. Reboot. regards Greg Greg Erskine's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=7403 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=97803 ___ unix mailing list unix@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix

Hi, I got static noice when no music is playing. Analog 3.5mm connected to reciver cambridge azu340r When I lower the volume on reciver static disappear but then the music is to low. Is there a way to change the output volume so I dont need to max my volume on the reciver? Maby I fix under "ALSA output level" useing custom settings? my squeezbox crached and I found this ☺ Thanks for this software CosyCat's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=6458 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=97803 ___ unix mailing list unix@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix

I also had some issues before it worked and became stable. IIRC i did the following steps: activate the wifi but leave the SSID etc empty, save the change and reboot. After reboot it scanned for available wifi networks and showed them in the box. Enter your SSID and credentials to login, save changes and reboot again. At least this was how I got it working. 18089 +---+ |Filename: Schermafbeelding 2015-05-22 om 19.11.47.png | |Download: http://forums.slimdevices.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=18089| +---+ does the all-black SB sound better than the white SB? hsmeets's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=9716 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=97803 ___ unix mailing list unix@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix

Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] Announce: Squeezelite - a small headless squeezeplay emulator for linux (alsa only)
Nicksoph, I'm not 100% sure but as the 'Interface' talks to the LMS and the LMS accesses 'slaves' on the network, it would seem to me that this is a job for the LMS to undertake. It's a very good idea though as jumping from one track to another can sometimes be (if not jarring) a little bit of a shock ;-) I assume you have tried all the options on the Logitech Media Server settings page/tabs ? There should be specific procedure calls from any 'Interface' to the LMS and on receiving one that involves the termination of a playing track the default fade out option should be applied for a) clearing playlist b) jump to next track c) jump back to start of track d) jump to previous track e) play different selection Though having said that their is possibly the issue about local buffering on the slave and that could affect playback in instances where you have multiple slaves in the same group I guess we need someone who knows how the handshakes are done and where this functionality should go so that you could request an appropriately targeted request Good luck, as I like the concept Mutt Muttley's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=64372 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=97046 ___ unix mailing list unix@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix
