Yes, we use the lmscli to find players. Greg is the expert here, but

What's lmscli? I most definitely would suggest not to use the raw CLI,
but rather the JSON/RPC interface. Parsing the the raw CLI is much more
prone to errors.

While I must admit I did introduce a bug there, newer Perl versions are
known to return some results in other order than other Perl versions.
You can't really rely on the results to be always in the same order.

Yes, we use the lmscli to find players. Greg is the expert here, but
I'm pretty sure it's related. Can you update your LMS and check if it
is resolved.

Thank you Paul.
Well, looking at the LMS drop down, I see only one instance of LMS
running.
A look at the LMS information tab shows:

Logitech Media Server Status
-Logitech Media Server Version: 7.9.0 - 1479378558 @ Sat Nov 19 04:08:52

The server hostname is in fact the server I'm using.

Yes, LMS logs on pCP are written to RAM as well. If the problem is
power supply, then likely no amount of logging will help. Which is
what I suspect the problem that the OP has.

No, I patched the netcat problem for the next release to always use the
busybox implementation. But in that case the LMS tab is missing to.
Since you are getting the LMS tab, that specific player is connected to
a server. Are you sure you don't have a rogue LMS server sitting out
there that devices are connecting to?

In the LMS web interface, It should list all servers and players found
on the network in the drop down box. That's what it sounds like to me.

Hi paparoacho,

Yes piCorePlayer writes log files to RAM (/tmp) and are gone after a
reboot. Each time you boot piCore, it is a new and clean install of
Linux. If you use piCorePlayer I don't think you need to worry about the
RPi going down, it is extremely rare for the RPi to lock up. It's a
catch 22 situation, if you write logs to the SD card you are more likely
to corrupt your SD card.

Hi Jem,

I don't have a pi with pCP with me at the moment so can't post a screen
shot, so forgive the verbiage.

On the squeezelite page for pCP you will have enabled the audio output
for USB.

After the restart, look at the tab below and you should see the default
output, eg hw= something or other.

If you click the 'more' a drop down will appear with a list of other
outputs, try one of those.
