Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] Jivelite for piCorePlayer
I made a complete new installation with 3.20 on a new SD-Card and used only the prefs from LMS on this new system. But I had to do it because I destroyed the old SD-card with 3.11 when removing it from the Pi. Should have been a backup but now it is gone. 2x Odroid U3 + m2p + LMS | Pi3-7" + pCP + LMS, 2x Touch, 2x Classic, 2x Boom, 2x Radio | iPeng 9 bluetdi's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=20633 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=103330 ___ unix mailing list unix@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix

Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] Jivelite for piCorePlayer
Just curious how you guys upgraded to 3.20? This should have been automatic. But from 3.11 to 3.20, there was dependency changes. I would remove jivelite reboot, then reinstall to be safe. paul-'s Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=58858 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=103330 ___ unix mailing list unix@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix

Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] Announce piCorePlayer 3.20
I am planning to migrate my HiFI to an rpi 3 with piCorePlayer. I will install the rpi within a preamplifer (DIY, Self-Huff design). I would like to add Alexa into this mix for music selection. The rpi will output via the gpio to an external DAC. I don't think pCP is the right place to start an Alexa enabled device. It's a minimal distro optimized for music playback from a LMS. You'd have to implement Alexa on the LMS server. Which is something somebody has been working on for a while. Check the forum for "Alexa". -- Michael ___ unix mailing list unix@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix

Hi, I am planning to migrate my HiFI to an rpi 3 with piCorePlayer. I will install the rpi within a preamplifer (DIY, Self-Huff design). I would like to add Alexa into this mix for music selection. The rpi will output via the gpio to an external DAC. One of the attractions of piCorePlayer is that the file structure is protected in the event of a power fail (or an OFF on the preamp). However, can anyone advise about the use of Alexa with piCorePlayer? I am hoping that the benefits of protected file system are not lost. If they are then I need to implement a power-off facility...which I would like to avoid if possible. The rpi should be running headless in a non-techie environent. Thanks for any advice or help on this gbcambridge's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=48676 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=107352 ___ unix mailing list unix@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix

You can ask the guy who built the driver if you can not use the dtoverlay, and then load all of the modules manually in the proper order. paul-'s Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=58858 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=107329 ___ unix mailing list unix@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix

Thanks Paul. I've been reading on the modprob discussion, but attacking this issue with a custom built auto boot part is is bit out of my reach at this moment. However with lsmod I have identified 4 modules that are not loaded automatically and loaded them manually : Code: sudo modprobe arizona_micsupp sudo modprobe gpio_arizona sudo modprobe snd_soc_wm5102 sudo modprobe snd_soc_arizona This does result in a similar lsmod output as when a usb device is plugged in, but the device is not recognised with f.i. aplay -l . But a usb add event will still finish the job, so it has not disturbed the process. Experimenting with udevadm trigger has not led to anything new. So to anyone: Can you give me hints on what I could do to either initialise the modules correctly after plain loading them . Or to emulate a USB-add-event that hopefully does the same as the manual action.
