Hi,

I also updated my player with Waveshare 3.5" display to the PiCorePlayer
version 5.0, so I followed the above instructions step by step and
everything runs perfectly.

It is important to give the file jivelite.sh executable rights (chmod
770).

Jivelite autostart is disabled when jivelite is installed with the
extension pcp-jivelite_default-wav35skin.tcz.

Maybe one of them is the problem.

Thanks for looking into this and for the tips. i am as
resource-conscious as the next pcp user and rarely have redundant stuff
at boot. i am happy to report that i can install extensions with -w flag
but when i use -wi i get the same boot error. oh, and i play with
different options and flags compiling squeezelite as a hobby. :)

Oh bother.
Thought I'll connect to my pi from work, so it'll be updated for when I
get home.
Now it's offline :(

I do already have an audiophonics ES9038Q2M dac, which I manually
installed drivers (which also required some edits to the boot files) for
the 4.1 version.
Is it possible that those changes
(https://github.com/audiophonics/I-Sabre-K2M/blob/master/INSTALL.md) to
get it working are in conflict to what was included in the 5.0 release?

I just tested on a zero, so there is nothing odd in the repo. My guess
is that you tried to install that extension, and ran out of
spacedepending on when you run out of space you might have some junk
laying around.

start a ssh session, and type

ceo
rm -f linux-4.19*

Then try again. Also, do not use both the "w" and "i" flags at the
same time, unless you always want those extensions loaded at boot, as it
gets added to onboot.lst. When I just want to do something
temporarily, I use "tce-load -w extension.tcz", then when I want to
actually use it, I install it with "tce-load -i extension.tcz"

On a side note, there is really nothing new in 1165, except disabling a
codec..you can do that manually by adding wmal to the exclude codec
field on the squeezelite page.

Yes, this really works to mount hfsplus disks! Thank you very much!
They are mounted read only but that is OK, I think for the musicfiles as
they don't have to be changed. I will connect a second disk for the LMS

Hi there

I just made a new setup based on (picoreplayer 5.0 and) the advices

and post #157.

Unfortunately jivelite does not start. And I am only able seeing the
screen if I am plugging the raspi to hdmi but not on the 3.5 TFT. The
player itself is working flawlessly. I repeated the setup a several
times - but no change.

It would nice if you could help me.

hi mcduman,

Are you really using pCP as a development platform?

Did you expand/resize mmcblk0p2 before trying to load all this stuff?

FYI: When you load all these GNU Linux commands, it is possible to break
piCorePlayer. Our scripts have been written to use BusyBox commands
which are not 100% compatible. If something doesn't work you need to let
us know.
