Interestingly enough i got it working. I had to go to advanced > remote libraries, then punch in my IP address of my LMS and I was good to go. I think i can script something based on the wifi to connect to the vpn or not. I'm not overly concerned because this is going to be my travel player and will mostly be connecting to vpn. Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] Jivelite on a Joggler
Hmm - I've spotted the connection. Of my four Jogglers, the odd one out is the one that's running from a USB memory stick. If I boot one of the others from the same USB image, rather than in the internal image they've been using, then alsamixer no longer offers the headphone option or the three Auto-Mute modes. I don't know what could be causing the difference or how to fix it, but it's a clue! chill's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=10839 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=110040 ___ unix mailing list unix@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix
Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] Jivelite on a Joggler
It seems like the autoswitching can be configured, using alsamixer. But I'm seeing differences between my 4th Joggler and one of the others. If you ssh in and type 'alsamixer' you should see a screen something like this: [image: http://www.cjh.me.uk/MyPhotobucket/cache/DIYHifi/Jivelite/alsamixer1_640.jpeg] That's the screen that I get from my 4th Joggler, on which the 3.5mm plug does not mute the internal speaker. The 'Auto-Mute Mode' on the right was set to 'enabled' - in this configuration the internal speaker does not switch off and I can only get crackling from the attached speaker. When I switch it to 'disabled' then the connected speaker starts to play back, but the internal speaker doesn't mute. I think this makes sense, but only if the switch itself is faulty. I don't think this can be your case, because the switch works under sqpos. On one of my other units I see a slightly different configuration under alsamixer: [image: http://www.cjh.me.uk/MyPhotobucket/cache/DIYHifi/Jivelite/alsamixer2_640.jpeg] Firstly I see the additional 'Headphone' column, and secondly the Auto-Mute Mode has three settings: 'Disabled', 'Speaker Only' and 'Line Out+Speaker'. So can you investigate the AutoMute options under Alsamixer and see if one of them works for you? chill's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=10839 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=110040 ___ unix mailing list unix@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix

Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] squeezeplay i386 does not display all cover art
The only difference between the two is that the 64bit version has mmx extensions disabled, which has been the case since I started providing builds. I've uploaded a '32bit build with mmx extensions disabled' (https://sourceforge.net/projects/lmsclients/files/squeezeplay/linux/squeezeplay-7.8.0-1203-i386.tgz/download). Please give that a try. The intel squeezeplay builds are done on centos 6, which is old, but produces a binary that works with most of the current linux distributions...at least up until now. If the new build doesn't display all images, you can try building squeezeplay on Debian 10. I don't know if jivelite will be any different, you'll have to try it. When I turn on my RPi nothing happens. The green light briefly flashes and then remains off while the red light remains on. I don't get signal out of the HDMI port and the device is not connecting to my network (ethernet). I thought maybe the RPi might be DOA but it works without any problems with RopieeeXL. So it occurred again last night. With LMS server player logging on, I got the file that it crashed on. It was an iOS voice memo. I believe I've noticed in the past some odd encoding of these, so I guess it makes sense. Interestingly, when re-playing that same file, I'm unable to get squeezelite to actually crash. I have only ever run SqueezePlay from a shell prompt so far but never seen any error messages, even with all sorts of debug turned on. There seems to be a size limit to JPEG cover art. Artwork smaller than 600x600 seems to be displayed correctly. If cover art is PNG then size does not matter. I don;t have an immediate answer for you but your screenshot show WiFi credentials so you might want to remove the screenshot and scribble over that part and put it back. Of course, for now at least, no-one knows who you really are and, more importantly, where you are - but if that becomes clearer over time then you connection details could be useful to someone who wants to break in. Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] BETA: piCorePlayer6.0.0 - PI4 support
Is there any chance of supporting this device in pCp 6. Just exploring streaming high quality analog audio say FM Tuner, CD Player, Record Deck etc etc The streaming seems to be an available feature on the Tweaks page - but the support for this device isn't there. Just experimenting. I know I can do it from Raspbian but I was thinking of something running on a small OS, continuously, in the background, *Music Store & VPN Server: *Synology DS215J NAS* Home Server/Study Player:* LMS 8.0.0 on Pi 4 pCp 6.0 (beta) Server/IQ Audio DAC+ *Refurbished 1962 RCA Stereo Console Server/Player *LMS 8.0.0 on Pi 4B pCp 6.0 (beta) Server/IQ Audio DAC+ *RF Headphone Playe*r Squeezelite/Jivelite on Pi 3B on pCp 6.0 (beta) IQ Audio DAC+ *Homeplug/LAN Players: *Squeezelite on 2x Windows 10 PC's, *VPN Mobile & Car Player:* Material/SqueezePlayer on Android Phone ian_heys's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=2629 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=110727 ___ unix mailing list unix@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix
