[SlimDevices: Unix] 32-bit WAP working fine, but 64-bit WAP locks up
Hi, My WAP always worked in 32-bit for my RPi 3A+. I recently tried the 64-bit and everything seems to be working the same as the 32-bit, but there are WAP issues. It downloads fine. It doesn't start tho. When you modify WAP settings it locks up and you have to pull the power. It will never start or restart or start on reboot. I gave up and went back to 32-bit, but if this is resolved please post. I prefer the 64-bit given the option. Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] Cannot allocate FULL 4GB Buffer Size in Squeezelite on RPi 8GB
I recently noticed there was a 64-bit version of PcP. I believe it fixed this issue. I was able to enter the full 4GB and it restarted. Unfortunately, my audio system is in flux and I only tested for less than a minute. No listening tests. I have moved on to a 12V low latency realtime kernel i9 PC build and re-purposed the 8GB RPi. Many thanks. Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] ANNOUNCE: piCorePlayer 7.0.0
Hi, i have some problem running LCDApi on piCorePlayer 7.0. It throws an EAFNOSUPPORT error, so i tried to investigate futher and found that it looks like ipv6 is not enabled. My ifconfig shows only ipv4 address, while my previous piCorePlayer 6.0.0 version showed both ipv4 and ipv6 address. So i tryed to load ipv6 module: tc@piCorePlayer:~$ sudo modprobe ipv6 modprobe: FATAL: Module ipv6 not found in directory /lib/modules/5.4.83-pcpCore-v7l while in picoreplayer 6.0.0 module ipv6 is loaded ok. sudo find / -name "ipv6" return nothing. in the extensions section of setting, it looks like ipv6-5.4.83-pcpCore-v7l-pcpCore_v8.tcz is installed, but i can't find it in optional: tc@piCorePlayer:~$ sudo find / -name "ipv6-5.4.83-pcpCore-v7l-pcpCore_v8.tcz" found nothing. what's wrong? Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] picoreplayer: how to configure ethernet port 10M autonego off full duplex ?
paul- wrote: > Put it in /opt/bootlocal.sh > > Put it before the piCorePlayer startup. I have a similar issue. I have a simple ethernet switch which does only support 100mbs. For uknown reason this switch fails during autonegotioation (related to this LINK_REMOVED) and therefore I'm not getting a link to the picoreplayer. The picoreplayer is running on a raspberry pi 4. As a workaround I found a hint, that I have to force the raspberry pi to 100mbs. I wanted to use ethtool for this, but I can't find it on the picoreplayer. Is there any other way to force the raspberry pi with picoreplayer to 100mbs? Or can I install the ethtool on the picoreplayer? Brill - thanks Ralphy, now the digital clock works. The others don't though. I can live with that, but i would really like the dot matrix or analog clocks ! Am I right in thinking this may be due to some tests in the script which i have missed to add the Wav35skin into ? also - can you tell me where the debug logs turn up please as i cant see them in /var/log ! By the way thanks to you and all the guys working on this for many years - i first installed pcp about 6 years ago and it was great then - but now it is stand out amazing - in fact better than the original :-) ! - Charlie chazza's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=64267 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=113512 ___ unix mailing list unix@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix
Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] PiCorePlayer and wifi Access Point in Bridge mode
Well, well. I wasn't aware bridged AP mode was a thing in piCore. I have one player running pCP v7 that I installed recently. So I went about and clicked my way through setting up AP mode (downloads went well apparently), bridged mode (doesn't seem to get concerned with the IP address field just above it). And then I pressed the start button (or something like that, I don't have the GUI in front of me anymore, now ;) I thought that would start an AP bridged with eth0 and clients would be part of the main LAN. Last thing I saw was a trace mentioning IP address 10.10.10.1, which is useless on my network, and possibly in this scenario, too. Alas, the headless machine has now sailed away. It's not in a 10.10.10.0/24 network, either on wifi or ethernet. It doesn't have an mDNS published address. Perhaps it has a zeroconf address but I didn't scan long enough to find it. In other words, it feels a little bit like a brick. I will get myself out of trouble, no worries. But either there is somehow room for improvement for the unsuspecting user merrily clicking through the GUI, or there is a bug in that feature in v7. 2 SB 3 1 PCP 6 Libratone Loop, Zipp, Zipp Mini iPeng (iPhone + iPad) LMS 7.9 (linux) with plugins: CD Player, WaveInput, Triode's BBC iPlayer by bpa IRBlaster by Gwendesign (Felix) Smart Mix, Music Walk With Me, What Was That Tune? by Michael Herger PowerSave by Jason Holtzapple Song Info, Song Lyrics by Erland Isaksson AirPlay Bridge by philippe_44 WeatherTime by Martin Rehfeld Auto Dim Display, SaverSwitcher, ContextMenu by Peter Watkins. epoch1970's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=16711 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=114369 ___ unix mailing list unix@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix

[SlimDevices: Unix] LMS service running on Ubuntu 16.04, but not reachable
I installed LMS on an Ubuntu 16.04 box using the logitechmediaserver_8.1.1_amd64.deb package. After installing it, I was able to access the web server at :9000 and saw it asking me to log into my mysqueezebox account. I did this just make sure it was installed correctly. I then changed the network config from using DHCP to a static IP and rebooted. Ever since then I can't access the webpage and I don't see anything serving port 9000 when I run "netstat -a". I did find and changed the "allowedhosts" in the config file, but that didn't help anything. Anyone know what I need to do to fix this?
