I've not delved into Alsamixer before. Looks like some more light
reading!

Tx for all the suggestions!

[SlimDevices: Unix] best practice LMS & squeezelite in Proxmox LXC

2021-08-27 Thread ce-bra

hello,
I want to bring transfer several services, which were running on PIs
for years, to one platform with VMs/containers for easier management,
sandbox gaming and back up. This refers to openhab, Grafana, InfluxDB,
and to the LMS.
I wanted to test the intel onboard sound on the NUC but I did not manage
to tunnel the sound from either LXC container or VM guest to the Proxmox
host (all Debian). Has anyone done this before? I am already in doubt if
I should change my strategy to using docker.
If I could choose, I would juts use the picore image, but did not see a
way get this working virtualized. Maybe there are better alternatives
for Proxmox? (Windows is none...)
And yes, it was all setup from scratch, no migration. Reason I want to
get away from the PIs is my bad luck with faults SD cards and
uncomfortable backup solutions.
thx
