Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] piCorePlayer 8.0.0 - Bluetooth Discussion
Tx, I've worked out some of what was going wrong. After I'd updated my second PCP and BT stopped working, I spotted there was a new status bullet "Bluealsa is running". Then I saw a new section with a "BT Output Device" setting which was blank. The possible values looked similar to the Squeezelite audio output setting but with ",DEV=0" tacked on the end, so I guessed at that. I looked at the Alsa Volume setting which recommended to check alsamixer. I found that under under Squeezelite but could not make head nor tail of the settings so i've ignored it for now. But the BT output now works! :-) Checking the the first PCP, it didn't have the Bluealsa bullet despite my verifying that no BT updates were available. After multiple browser refreshes by chance I spotted that PCP was on 8.1.0 when the second was on 8.2.0. So I upgraded PCP in-situ and then the four BT bullets were present. I set the BT output setting and that works too! Phew! :-) Maybe the BT update checker (which also seems to take well over a minute each time) could check the PCP version too, if that's a known compatibility issue? I'll look at Win11 again another day ... mr-b's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=10044 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=114834 ___ unix mailing list unix@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix
Re: [SlimDevices: Unix] piCorePlayer 8.0.0 - Bluetooth Discussion
I suspect Windows 11 is going to be a problem, I don't have any Windows 11 machines, and I don't plan on it for a while. As for the tablet, The BT update included new codecs, and brought volume control. I cannot tell, if things are playing without any volume, or if there is nothing playing at all. piCorePlayer a small player for the Raspberry Pi in RAM. I have just tested powering off the player in my LMS and playing music from my phone by Bluetooth but I dont get sound. I have tested with piCore v8.1 and also doesnt work. I am thinking maybe the problem is my DAC Jokte's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=73072 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=116900 ___ unix mailing list unix@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix

Material -Skin- being a single-page Javascript web-app requires a HTML redering engine - which a browser or Electron would provide. (AFAIK, Electron -is- chromium just packed per-app). I have written a smalll Qt app that uses Blink (chromium's rendering engine) which I currently use for displaying LMS. See https://github.com/CDrummond/qwebappwrapper Perhaps this is what you are referring to? I have thought about expandnig this to be LSM specific, and add things such as server discovery, MPRIS, etc., but am too busy at the moment and it currently suffices for my needs. *Material debug:* 1. Launch via http: //SERVER:9000/material/?debug=json (Use http: //SERVER:9000/material/?debug=json,cometd to also see update messages, e.g. play queue) 2. Open browser's developer tools 3. Open console tab in developer tools 4. REQ/RESP messages sent to/from LMS will be logged here. cpd73's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=66686 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=116934 ___ unix mailing list unix@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix
